Yet again, proving its mettle when it comes to production of quality content that matters, Doordarshan won ENBA Award 2021 for the best in-depth Hindi series. TV series based on pet care 'Best Friend Forever' on Doordarshan has won big at the 14th edition of the Exchange4media News Broadcasting Awards (ENBA).
Best Friend Forever is half-an-hour weekly live phone-in show on DD National, wherein two pet experts guide people on how to take care of their pets, about their food, nutrition, routine health check-ups, vaccination and other pet related issues. Objective of the show is to maintain a two way communication where viewers can directly call and talk to the experts, and share their worries and experiences. From the first day, phone calls started pouring in from across the country. Apart from other age-groups, youngsters and kids engage the most with the show.

India Pharma and India Medical Devices Awards 2022
The India Pharma Awards 2022 and India Medical Device Awards 2022 were handed over by the Minister of State for the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers Bhagwanth Khuba. The awards were handed over during the seventh edition of India Pharma and Indian Medical Device 2022 which was organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Department of Pharmaceuticals.
The awards were given to various industry players in the field of medical and pharmaceutical devices.

Snow Leopard Conservationist Charudutt Mishra Wins Whitley Gold Award
Noted snow leopard expert and wildlife conservationist Charudutt Mishra won the prestigious Whitley Gold Award for his contribution to involving indigenous communities in the conservation and recovery of big cat species in Asia's high mountain ecosystems. Princess Anne presented the award to Mishra at London's Royal Geographic Society. This is his second Whitley Fund for Nature (WFN) Award. He got the first in 2005.
Mishra was given the award for his work in 12 snow leopard range countries including Afghanistan, China, and Russia. In 2017, Mishra wrote a paper on eight approaches to community-based conservation that helped involve local communities in snow leopard protection in the upper reaches of the Himalayas, leading to a reduction in retribution killings of the big cats. UN Biodiversity Conference recognised his approach as an outstanding global practice.

Atal Tunnel Receives IBC Best Infrastructure Project Award
The Atal Tunnel, built by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), received the 'Best Infrastructure Project' award from the Indian Building Congress (IBC). The 9.02 km-long Atal Tunnel is the longest highway tunnel globally and connects Manali to Lahaul-Spiti valley throughout the year. Earlier, the valley was cut off for about six months each year owing to heavy snowfall.
More than thirty state-of-the-art infrastructure projects were nominated for the award. The IBC jury selected the strategic tunnel as the 'Best Project for Excellence in Built Environment' in 2021.

Meghalaya E-proposal System Wins Prestigious UN Award
Meghalaya's Planning Department's key initiative of e-Proposal System, part of Meghalaya Enterprise Architecture (MeghEA) wins coveted UN Award – World Summit on the Information Society Forum (WSIS) Prizes 2022. CM Conrad K Sangma in 2019 initiated MeghEA, which is being implemented by the Planning Department, Government of Meghalaya.
The government's e-Proposal system automates sanctions & administrative approvals of all the departments & directorates in Meghalaya and delivers Government services with desired outcomes to all the citizens and other stakeholders across the State of Meghalaya in an integrated and seamless manner. It eliminates 75% of physical files in Government departments.

Bangladesh Educational Charity Founder Kishore Das Selected for Commonwealth Points of Light Award
The founder of educational charity 'Bidyanando', Kishore Kumar Das from Bangladesh was chosen for the Commonwealth Points of Light Award, which recognises outstanding individual volunteers. He has been selected for his exceptional work in improving access to education for children from marginalised backgrounds.
Kishore Das setup Bidyanando in 2013, which runs five primary schools which provide free education and meal programme for vulnerable.
