World Accreditation Day (WAD) is celebrated every year on 9 June to promote the role of accreditation in trade and the economy. The theme for WAD 2021 is "Accreditation: Supporting the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)". It provides the opportunity for ILAC and IAF members to share examples with stakeholders, regulators and consumers of how accreditation may be applied to meet objectives such as increasing trade, addressing environment and health and safety concerns, and improving the general overall quality of output in an economy.
WAD is a global initiative, jointly established by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation.

World Oceans Day
Every year, on the occasion of World Oceans Day on 8 June, the world comes together to celebrate the largest water body on the planet. This day is observed to create awareness about the benefits provided by the oceans to human beings.
In 2008, World Oceans Day was declared as an official occasion by the United Nations (UN) which finalises different themes every year to celebrate the special day. This year's theme is 'The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods', which focuses on the livelihood and life that oceans sustain.

World Food Safety Day
World Food Safety Day is observed every year on June 7 to draw attention and inspire action to prevent, detect and manage foodborne risks. Food and shelter are the necessities of life. Every human being has a dependency on food (including water), air, and cloth for their existence on earth.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recognizes the global burden of foodborne diseases, which affect individuals of all ages.
The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed in 2018 that every 7th June would be World Food Safety Day. In 2020, the World Health Assembly further passed a resolution to strengthen global efforts for food safety to reduce the burden of foodborne disease.
WHO and the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) jointly facilitate the observance of World Food Safety Day, in collaboration with the Member States and other relevant organisations.
This year's theme for World Food Safety Day is 'Safe food today for a healthy tomorrow', which focuses on producing and consuming safe food.
Oasis of Hope: Film Division's Online Festival
Film Division organised an online festival on environment called "Oasis of hope" on 5th and 6th June 2021 to mark the importance of World Environment Day (WED).
It celebrated the spirit of keywords of WED namely, "REIMAGINE, RECREATE, RESTORE". This 2-day festival showcased films giving strong message on reviving environment and reimagining nature's co-existence. It also suggested several ways to restore inseparable relationship of human being and nature.

World Sustainable Development Summit 2021
World Sustainable Development Summit was organised, on the eve of World Environment Day. Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Prakash Javadekar, addressed the summit and underlined the importance of water conservation by adopting conservation technologies and changing water use habits.
World Sustainable Development Summit 2021 was held under theme "Redefining our common future: Safe & Secure Environment for All".
World Sustainable Development Summit is annual flagship event organised by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). Summit brings together political leaders, Nobel laureates, decision-makers from bilateral & multilateral institutions, scientists & researchers and media personnel to discuss issues related to sustainable development.

World Environment Day
World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5th June and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment. First held in 1974, it has been a platform for raising awareness on environmental issue such as marine pollution, human overpopulation, global warming, sustainable consumption and wildlife crime. World Environment Day is a global platform for public outreach, with participation from over 143 countries annually. Each year, the program has provided a theme and forum for businesses, non-government organizations, communities, governments and celebrities to advocate environmental causes.
Each year the World Environment Day is hosted by a country every year. Pakistan hosted the World Environment Day 2021 in collaboration with the UN Environment Programme.
The theme for World Environment Day 2021 was 'Ecosystem restoration'.
