Good governance is observed annually on December 25. The day aims to let the citizens, the students, who are the future of the country know about the government's responsibilities and duties that it needs to fulfil. The day is also celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of India's former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The actions that a government takes to manage its affairs in a state or a country can be called Governance. In other words, it can be defined as 'the process of decision-making and the process by which decisions are implemented.' However, to create awareness of accountability in government among the citizens of India, Good Governance Day is observed every year.

National Mathematics Day
National Mathematics Day is observed on December 22 every year. This date marks the birth anniversary of legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. In 2012, then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh declared December 22 as National Mathematics Day to honour the life and achievements of Ramanujan.
He was born in 1887 in Erode, Tamil Nadu in a humble Iyengar Brahmin family.
Ramanujan was a self-taught mathematician and is considered one of the greatest Indian mathematicians of all time.
During his short but impactful lifespan, Ramanujan worked on theorems that seemed impossible to solve. He is known for the work he did in the areas of continued fractions, Riemann series, elliptic integrals, hypergeometric series and functional equations of the zeta function.
On May 2, 1918, he became a fellow of the Royal Society in London, one of youngest people to receive such an honour. Ramanujan died on April 26, 1920 at the age of 32.

International Human Solidarity Day
International Human Solidarity Day (IHSD) is observed annually on December 20 across the globe to celebrate the ideal of unity in diversity. IHSD highlights the goal of the United Nations and its member states to create awareness about poverty and the need to reduce poverty in independent nations. As part of the UN's Sustainable Development agenda, IHSD is promoted by the World Solidarity Fund and United Nations Development Programme.
As per the United Nations Millennium Declaration published on September 18, 2000, the word 'solidarity' was added to the UN as one of the fundamental values that are to be essential for international relations.
On December 20, 2002, the UN General Assembly introduced a World Solidarity Fund to help counter global poverty. This got included in the United Nation Development Programme (UNDP) trust fund in February 2003. To commemorate the above day, the UN declared December 20 as International Human Solidarity Day.
