IRCTC's Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train to Stop at Nepal's Janakpur

The Indian Railway Catering and Ticketing Corporation (IRCTC) will launch its maiden Bharat Gaurav Tourist train, with a stop in Nepal's Janakpur. This train will go around the Ramayana Circuit, which has been identified under the Swadesh Darshan scheme and includes major locations related with Lord Shri Rama's life, such as the Ram Janaki temple in Janakpur, Nepal. The projected 18-day Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train Tour begins in Ayodhya, Lord Rama's birthplace, with visits to Shri Ram Janmabhumi temple and Hanuman temple, as well as Bharat Mandir in Nandigram, dedicated to Lord Ram's younger brother Bharat.
The train will then return to Delhi on the 18th day of its voyage, having covered nearly 8000 kilometres throughout the full Ramayana tour.

Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation's (IRCTC) first Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will be run under the aegis of the new policy of the Ministry of Railways. On 21st June 2022, this train will be commencing its maiden journey.
This train will be showcasing all the prominent places that are associated with Lord Rama's life and also including Janakpur, Nepal which is the birthplace of Goddess Sita. This train's 18-day maiden journey will begin from the Safdarjung Station, Delhi. It will be running on the Ramayana Circuit of the Swadesh Darshan scheme.
The Indian Railways introduced the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains with the aim of showcasing the country's historical places and the rich cultural heritage to the citizens of India as well as to tourists from across the world. These trains are theme-based tourist circuit trains. The trains have been launched under the central government's "Dekho Apna Desh" initiative.

Delhi Airport Displaced Dubai as World's Second Busiest in March

Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, India's largest, emerged as the second busiest airport in the world in March, displacing Dubai Airport and trailing only Atlanta in the pecking order, according to OAG, a global travel data provider.
Its flight to the second position was the result of a strong recovery in the domestic aviation market. The government's decision to reopen international flights also helped increase traffic flow.
Airlines operating into the Delhi airport flew around 3.6 million seats as compared to 4.4 million deployed by airlines in Atlanta. However, experts said that Delhi's rise in the pecking order was an anomaly primarily because of other big aviation markets not yet being fully open for international travel.

Asia's Biggest International Food and Hospitality Fair - AAHAR 2022 Begins in New Delhi

Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in association with the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) is organizing Asia's biggest international food and hospitality fair AAHAR-2022 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
More than 80 exporters from different segments of agricultural products which include geographical indication products, processed food, organic, and frozen food products will participate in the fair. APEDA created dedicated stalls for exporters from North East Region and Himalayan states like Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh, women entrepreneurs, farmer producers organizations, start-ups, and exporters of millets.

Govt to Launch AYUSH Visa for Traditional Medical Tourism

In a bid to boost medical tourism in traditional medicine, India is set to offer special visas for those travelling to the country to avail AYUSH treatment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced at a global business event on AYUSH. Inaugurating the three-day Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit at Mahatma Mandir in Ahmedabad, Modi said that the government will also soon launch an 'AYUSH mark' for standardisation and authentication of quality AYUSH products in the global market.
AYUSH, which stands for Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy, also saw the launch of a dedicated portal for the recently formed AYUSH Export Promotion Council. Further, the government is also set to create a network of AYUSH Parks to encourage research and boost indigenous manufacturing of traditional medicinal products.
