Bandhan Bank Names Zubeen Garg as Brand Ambassador for Assam
Bandhan Bank announced Popular Assamese & Bollywood singer Zubeen Garg as the brand ambassador for the Bank in Assam. This association is a landmark one for Bandhan Bank as this is the first time ever that the bank has associated with a brand ambassador since its inception six years back.
To mark the commencement of this association, Zubeen released his new music video which showcases diverse elements of Assamese culture and heritage. The song and video have been produced courtesy of Bandhan Bank. Titled 'Axom Amaar Mone Praane," the song is a melodious blend of the different kinds of folk music native to Assam.

Prabhakar Kamath, founder of the Ideal Ice Creams died. He was 79.
He founded Ideal in 1975 that went on to earn fame and recognition and grew as one of the popular ice cream brands across the country. Ideal has five parlours in the city and its products are available in retail outlets in three states.

Subrata Mukherjee, West Bengal Panchayat Minister Dies
Senior Trinamool Congress leader Subrata Mukherjee died after prolonged illness at a state-run hospital in Kolkata.
Mukherjee, who was the State Panchayat Minister, was 75.
A seasoned politician in its truest sense, Mukherjee started his political career as a student activist during his higher education in Kolkata when he joined the Chhatra Parishad in the 1960s. During this period he made the acquaintance of late Congress leader Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi.

Dr Aaron Beck, an American psychiatrist considered the father of cognitive behavioural therapy, died aged 100.
CBT, which was originally developed to manage depression, aims to help change the way people think to improve how they feel and alter their behaviour.
Dr. Beck's work is considered hugely influential. He published hundreds of articles and 25 books in his career.

Former Himachal Pradesh minister Gurumukh Singh Bali passed away in New Delhi.
He was a senior Congress leader.
Bali was born on July 27, 1954 in Kangra.
He was elected as MLA from Nagrota Bagwan four times in a row in 1998, 2003, 2007 and 2012 and served as the food supply, transport and technical education Minister.
