Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh to Develop 'Shri Krishna Gaman Path'

In a move to boost religious tourism and cultural heritage, the Chief Ministers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh announced to develop a new religious circuit called the 'Shri Krishna Gaman Path'. This initiative aims to connect the birthplace of Lord Krishna in Mathura with the sacred city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, tracing the footsteps of one of Hinduism's most revered deities.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma made the official announcement, revealing the state's commitment to this ambitious project. The announcement highlights the government's focus on preserving and promoting religious heritage sites.
The circuit is designed to include places where Krishna is believed to have left his footprints during his travel from Mathura to Ujjain. This aspect adds a deeply spiritual dimension to the project, allowing devotees to literally follow in the footsteps of their deity.

17th Divya Kala Mela Concludes

The 17th Divya Kala Mela inaugurated by Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Virendra Kumar in Raipur concluded on August 23. The week-long fair focused on empowering artisans and entrepreneurs with disabilities, and celebrated their talent and creativity. The landmark event was organised by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) [DEPwD], under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
The Mela was more than just a marketplace and empowered Divyangjan under one roof through the 'Divya Kala Shakti' 'Job Fairs' and 'Loan Mela' initiatives.
Raipur's Divya Kala Mela was the 17th in a series of such events that have been held across the country since 2022. Previous editions in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal, and Guwahati have been met with widespread acclaim, each contributing to the growing movement to uplift and empower Divyangjan through skill development and market exposure.

India's first Constitution Museum, named "The Constitution Academy and The Rights & Freedoms Museum," in Haryana is set to be inaugurated by OP Jindal Global University on November 26, 2024. This initiative celebrates the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
The museum will provide an in-depth exploration of the Indian Constitution, highlighting its various sections and their significance. Visitors can engage with profiles of Constituent Assembly members, examine the debates and discussions that shaped the Constitution, and explore the document's evolution through textual, audio-visual, and experiential formats.

Central Bureau of Communication Organises Photo Exhibition on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day a...

An exhibition organised by the Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, marking the "Partition Horrors Remembrance Day" was held at Lalit Kala Academy (LKA), New Delhi from August 14 to 17, 2024.
This exhibition sought to bring to light the personal stories, the immense pain, and the lasting impact of the partition of 1947 on countless lives. This exhibition aimed to honour the memories of those who suffered and to foster a deeper understanding of the complexities and human cost of this historic event. It showcased historical photographs, videos & interactive displays, providing insights into the theme.
This exhibition was not only a reflection on the past but also an opportunity for the future generations, specifically the students and youth, to engage in meaningful conversations about how we can build a future grounded in empathy, reconciliation, and unity.

Ancient Solar Calendar Discovered in Turkey

In a groundbreaking discovery, archaeologists may have uncovered the world's oldest solar calendar at the renowned archaeological site of Göbekli Tepe in southern Turkey. This finding offers a fascinating glimpse into the sophisticated astronomical knowledge of our ancient ancestors.
At the heart of this discovery is a large stone pillar adorned with intricate carvings. These carvings, estimated to be nearly 13,000 years old, have captured the attention of researchers due to their potential significance in understanding prehistoric timekeeping and astronomical observations.
