UP and Tripura CM Inaugurate Sidheshwari Temple

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha jointly inaugurated the newly built Sidheshwari Temple at Barkathal in Tripura. Yogi Adityanath also laid the foundation stone for the Ved Vidyalaya at Chitta Dham, Barakathal, Mohanpur, West Tripura.

Angkor Wat Named Most Photogenic UNESCO World Heritage Site in Asia

Cambodia's Angkor Wat was recognised as the most photogenic UNESCO World Heritage site in Asia by Times Travel, as announced by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. This accolade was revealed through a post on his official Telegram channel, featuring Times of India's list of Asia's top ten most photogenic UNESCO sites.
The list includes notable landmarks such as: India: Taj Mahal and Hampi, China: Great Wall, Myanmar: Ancient city of Bagan, Indonesia: Borobudur, Vietnam: Ha Long Bay, Japan: Historic Monuments of Kyoto, Jordan: Petra and Philippines: Rice Terraces of the Cordilleras
These sites are celebrated for their cultural and visual appeal, offering exceptional inspiration for photographers.
Located in the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap province, Angkor Wat is a prominent temple within a 401-square-kilometre park featuring 91 ancient temples built between the 9th and 13th centuries. It is Cambodia's most visited tourist destination, drawing 651,857 international visitors in the first eight months of 2024, reflecting a 30.7% increase from the previous year. Revenue from ticket sales for this period reached $30.3 million, marking a 31% year-on-year rise.

Special Rail Coach Dedicated to Gandhi Unveiled at Gandhi Darshan

A meticulously restored railway coach from the bygone era, symbolising Mahatma Gandhi's famous train journeys that were instrumental in his mission to unite the nation during the freedom struggle, was unveiled by Union Minister for Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
The coach, painted in a shade of brown, bears a 'III' marker depicting the third-class railway compartments he used to travel in, has been installed at Gandhi Darshan at the Raj Ghat, Delhi.
A life-size sculpture of the Mahatma showing him stepping down from the coach has been placed on its footsteps.
The railway coach at Gandhi Darshan is enriched with sculptures depicting Gandhi's travels and interactions with fellow travellers, providing visitors with an immersive experience that brings alive Mahatma Gandhi's rail journeys.

Entering its 203rd year of publication, Mumbai Samachar has become an integral part of Mumbai's identity.
'Mumbai Samachar- 200 Not Out' delves into the newspaper's pivotal role in the freedom movement, its unwavering commitment to unbiased reporting and the secrets behind its enduring success.
The documentary was released simultaneously in 40 countries, offering a historical perspective not only for Mumbai Samachar but also for the entire newspaper industry.
Hormusji N. Cama, the Managing Director of the Mumbai Samachar, was present at the event.

National Memorial for Queen Elizabeth II Announced in St James's Park

The British government announced plans to erect a national memorial for Queen Elizabeth II in St James's Park, London. This site was chosen due to its historical significance and its close connection to the late monarch, who passed away on September 8, 2022, after over seven decades on the throne. The memorial will be situated near The Mall, Marlborough Gate, and the Blue Bridge, reflecting the Queen's enduring legacy and providing a space for public reflection.
The memorial is intended to be more than just a monument; it will serve as a space for contemplation and community engagement. The UK government will also support memorial projects across Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, acknowledging the Queen's impact throughout the UK.
The Queen Elizabeth Memorial Committee, led by Lord Robin Janvrin and including senior figures from public life, is tasked with overseeing the memorial's design and legacy program. The committee is working to ensure the memorial and associated projects honor the Queen's remarkable public service and leadership.

UP Govt. to Build Vedic-3D Museum in Varanasi

The Uttar Pradesh government announced the construction of a Vedic-3D museum at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency. This state-of-the-art museum will focus on Indian astrology, astronomy, and Vedic literature. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made the announcement during his visit to the university, highlighting its role in showcasing the evolution of Vedic literature, including the 16 Sanskars, 64 arts, and 18 Vidya Sthans, as well as the contributions of Indian sages.
The museum will exhibit rare manuscripts preserved in the historic Saraswati Bhawan, such as the "Raas Panchadhyayi," Shrimad Bhagwat Gita, and Durgasaptashati, all intricately inscribed and adorned with gold artistry. It aims to revive the tradition of 'Shastrartha' (spiritual discourse) and serve as a platform for deepening knowledge in Vedic literature.
