Anthology Of Great Indian Poems To Be Launched At Jaipur Literature Festival

  •  'The Bloomsbury Anthology of Great Indian Poems' edited by poet-diplomat Abhay K. is all set to be launched on January 23 at the opening day of the Jaipur Literature Festival 2020.
  • The anthology covers over 3000 years of Indian poetry written in 28 Indian languages. Earlier Abhay K. had edited 100 Great Indian Poems which has been translated and published into Portuguese, Spanish and Italian and is awaiting publication in Irish, Russian, Nepali, French, and Malagasy.
  • Abhay K. is the author of eight poetry collections including 'The Eight-eyed Lord of Kathmandu' and 'The Prophecy of Brasilia'. He is also the editor of CAPITALS, The Bloomsbury Anthology of Great Indian Poems and New Brazilian Poems.

Ashwin Sanghi on The Vault of Vishnu

  • Bestselling fiction writer Ashwin Sanghi called his upcoming book, 'The Vault of Vishnu', the sixth in his popular mythological 'Bharat series', his most ambitious project yet.
  • The book, which will be officially launched at the 13th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival on January 23, 2019 by Sanghi and popular Bollywood actor and author Sonali Bendre Behl, tells the story of three travellers who keep moving along an ancient trade route in search of answers.

BRO Inducts Hi-Tech Snow Clearance Equipment In Jammu And Kashmir

  •  Border Roads Organization (BRO) has inducted hi-tech snow clearance and cutting machines in Jammu and Kashmir which are state of the art snow clearance equipment that clear one kilometre of snow in just three hours. Snowfall in winter blocks important strategic roads including the Srinagar-Leh, Jammu-Srinagar, Gurez-Bandipora and Kupwara-Karnah highways which takes a lot of time for clearance. 
  • To deal with the problem, seven high-tech snow cutter FRESIA machines have been purchased by the BRO from Italy for swift snow cutting and clearance of these important highways and passes.

India To Be Guest Of Honour At Paris Book Fair

  • This will be the third time that India would be the guest country at the fair after 2002 and 2007.
  •  India will be the guest of honour at the Paris Book Fair 2020 to be held in March this year.
  • As part of Indian participation, the fair will see representation by 30 Indian authors from various linguistic regions of the country, alongside 15 Indian publishers. It will explore themes like the ''India of tomorrow'', ''writing and rewriting India''s history'', among others.
  • Around 20 new Indian titles and 15 books will be translated into French and get into reprint, respectively.

  •  Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the book 'Karmyodha Granth', written on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on January 07, 2020. 
  •  Apart from that, Amit Shah also informed about the other social welfare works done by PM Modi.
