Nationwide Campaign 'COVID Teeka Sang Surakshit Van, Dhan aur Uddyam' Launched

Shri Arjun Munda, Minister of Tribal Affairs, virtually launched the nationwide campaign "COVID Teeka Sang Surakshit Van, Dhan aur Uddyam" to accelerate the pace of COVID vaccination among tribals, in India.
Minister of State for Steel, Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste; Ministers of State for Tribal Affairs – Shri Bishweswar Tudu and Smt. Renuka Singh too were present virtually during the launch.
Other dignitaries present during the launch were Shri Pravir Krishna, Managing Director, TRIFED; WHO Representative Dr. Roderico Ofrin; UNICEF India Representative Dr. Yasmin Ali Haque; and senior officers of TRIFED as well as partners of Tribal Affairs Ministry and TRIFED in states.
Shri Munda launched the campaign through video conferencing link-up with field camps in Mandla in Madhya Pradesh and Bastar in Chhattisgarh.
During this, Bastar Collector Shri. Rajat Bansal and Mandla District Collector Smt Harshika Singh gave details about the preparations for vaccination being run in their respective districts.

Cabinet Approves Continuation of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS)

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved continuation of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) for Development of Infrastructure Facilities for Judiciary for further five years from 01.04.2021 to 31.03.2026 at a total cost of Rs.9000 crore, out of which Central share will be Rs.5357 crore including Rs.50 crore for the Gram Nyayalayas Scheme and their implementationin a Mission Mode through National Mission for Justice Delivery and Legal Reforms.
Several courts are still functioning in rented premises with insufficient space and some in a dilapidated condition without basic amenities. Lack of residential accommodation to all the judicial officers also adversely affects their working and performance. The present Government has remained sensitive to the needs of providing well equipped judicial infrastructure to subordinate judiciary to facilitate administration of justice in a manner that allows easy access and timely delivery of justice to all. Adequacy of judicial infrastructure is critical for reduction of pendency and backlog of cases in Courts.

Government Approves Continuation of AYUSH Mission as Centrally-sponsored Scheme

The Union Cabinet approved the continuation of the National Ayush Mission as a 'Centrally-sponsored scheme' for another five years till 2026. A release issued by the Union government noted that the scheme would continue from April 1, 2021, to March 31, 2026, with a financial implication of Rs. 4,607.30 crore to be spent during the period.
Giving details, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur said the scheme involved the expansion of the Ayush sector to promote the holistic health of Indians.
He said under the scheme, old and traditional medicinal systems would be promoted, and Ayush wellness centres, medical colleges, hospitals and dispensaries set up and upgraded. He said the Cabinet also approved a change of nomenclature and mandate of the North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM) as the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR).

Cabinet Extends RoSCTL Scheme for Textile Exporters till March 2024

The union cabinet on Wednesday extended the Rebate of State and Central Levies and Taxes (RoSCTL) scheme till March 2024, a move aimed at helping the textile exporters.
"Continuation of RoSCTL for apparel/garments and made-ups is expected to make these products globally competitive by rebating all embedded taxes/levies which are currently not being rebated under any other mechanism. It will ensure a stable and predictable policy regime and provide a level playing field to Indian textiles exporters. Further, it will promote startups and entrepreneurs to export and ensure creation of lakhs of jobs," an official statement said.

Cabinet Okays Scheme to Promote India-owned Ships with Subsidy Support

The Union Cabinetapproved a scheme for promotion of flagging of merchant ships in India by providing subsidy support to domestic shipping companies in global tenders floated by Ministries.
As per the scheme, a subsidy of Rs 1,624 crore over five years to domestic shipping companies will be given in global tenders floated by Ministries and central public sector enterprises.
The move has brought in an opportune time to invest in Indian flagged vessels, said industry experts.
The policy was announced in February as part of the fiscal 2022 Union Budget.

Andhra CM Launches 'YSR Bima' Scheme

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched the 'YSR Bima' scheme with new guidelines, where the government itself will directly pay the insurance amount to the family of the deceased to make the insurance claims easier.
In order to support 1.32 lakh families through the YSR Bima scheme, the State government allocated Rs. 750 crores for the year 2021-22. In the last two years, the State government had spent Rs. 1307 crore for YSR Bima.

Andhra Launches IT Policy for 2021-24

Andhra Pradesh government has launched its new 'AP Information Technology Policy 2021-24'.
New policy was approved by State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
This policy is expected to generate more than 55,000 jobs in next three years.
In order to implement the policy, a robust and holistic business environment would be created.
IT, Electronics and Communications Department would also be transformed into revenue centre in a bid to achieve self-sustenance.
New IT Policy links the incentive disbursement to realisation of committed direct employment which ensures transparent & effective utilisation of public funds. It offers end-to-end support for start-ups like plug & play office space, access to investors, & mentors, funds through venture capitals and private equity firms.

Telangana Govt. to Provide Financial Assistance to Beneficiaries under CM Dalit Empowerment Progr...

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Telangana government has announced that it will provide financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakh to the eligible Dalit beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Dalit Empowerment Programme.
With a budget of Rs. 1,200 crore for the first phase, the scheme will cover 100 families each from all the 119 Assembly constituencies in the state.
The amount will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of the selected Dalit beneficiaries as was done in the case of Rythu Bandhu Scheme.
