First-Ever City-To-City Tourism Partnership
New York City's official destination marketing organisation, and Marketing Manchester signed a first-ever official city-to-city tourism collaboration agreement. The new two-year alliance includes a collaboration agreement between the two cities, the sharing of best practices in tourism marketing and a partnership with Virgin Atlantic to stimulate reciprocal travel.

South Africa Aims To Cross 100,000 Visitors from India in 2020
South African Tourism organised 17th edition of their Annual Road show. The road show intends to capitalise on the strong potential consumer demand in India in order to surpass the target of 100,000 Indian visitors to South Africa in the current year (2020).
India continues to remain one of our key focus markets globally and it is encouraging to observe consistent, upward growth from traditional regions like Mumbai, Delhi & Bangalore as well as rising visitor traffic from emerging cities like Pune. With more and more visitors citing South Africa's scenic natural beauty as reasons to visit, we are focused in our efforts towards opening up newer geographies in our country. This will serve a dual objective of catering to this very consumer demand as well as offering a diversity of itinerary options for our trade partners to sell.

Railways to offer content on demand by 2022
Train journeys could soon become a more entertaining with the Indian Railways planning to offer access to "high quality, buffer free" video content to passengers. The project, to be implemented by PSU RailTel, is expected to be rolled out fully in the next two years.
RailTel has selected Margo Network, a subsidiary of Zee Entertainment, as the digital entertainment service provider for providing content-on-demand (CoD) on trains and at railway stations. The multilingual content, which will be made available in both paid and unpaid formats, will include movies, shows, music and educational programs.

Union Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal flagged off new AC 3-tier 'Humsafar Express' train on January 14, 2020.
He flagged off Madhupur (Jharkhand) - Anand Vihar (Delhi) Humsafar Express via video conferencing. The aim of the launch of this train is to provide comfortable journey to passengers. The latest train will be operated under Eastern Railway Zone of Indian Railways.
Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department Sets Guinness Record By Preparing Largest Quantity Of 'Khichdi'
A 1,995 kg 'khichdi' dish made from rice and lentils, prepared by the Himachal Pradesh Department of Tourism in association with Shimla-based Durga Devi Behari Lal Charitable Trust, entered the Guinness World Records.
It was served to devotees on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the Hindu festival dedicated to the deity Surya, at Tattapani, 55 km from the state capital.
