Haryana Brings More Crops Under 'Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojna"
The Haryana government decided to bring more crops under the 'Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojna (BBY)' scheme.
The decision was taken at a BBY review meeting which was presided by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
In the past two years, the scheme has been very successful and therefore, along with potato, onion, tomato and cabbage, now carrots, peas, kinnow, guava, capsicum and brinjal will also be included under the BBY, Khattar said.
Gujarat Govt. Grants Approval For CNG Port Terminal At Bhavnagar
The Gujarat government gave its approval for a compressed natural gas (CNG) terminal at Bhavnagar with a proposed investment of ₹1,900 crore.
A State government release said the facility, approval for which was given by the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board headed by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, would be the world's first CNG port terminal.
It will be developed jointly by U.K.-headquartered Foresight Group and Mumbai-based Padmanabh Mafatlal Group.

Aadhaar Card Holders May Be Fined ₹10,000 For Making Giving Incorrect Number
For the convenience of taxpayers, the income tax department has now allowed Aadhaar card holders to use the 12-digit biometric id number in lieu of the Permanent Account Number (PAN). But be careful while quoting your Aadhaar as giving an incorrect number might make you pay a hefty fine of ₹10,000.
You are fined if:
You give invalid Aadhaar number in lieu of PAN.
You fail to provide either your PAN or Aadhaar in specified transactions.
Simply giving your Aadhaar number might not be enough as if you are required to authenticate your biometric identity, then any failure to do so will also lead to a fine.

Radio channel to Inform Farmers about Climate Change
The Maharashtra State Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices is planning to start a dedicated community radio channel to inform farmers about climate change and help in resolving their problems.
An expert panel on the radio channel will try to address the issues faced by farmers.
Necessary permissions have been taken to start the channel by this year-end.
The radio station will be based at Lodaga village in Latur district.
To address the issues of cultivators, the commission will form a committee of five to six members, comprising experts from the Krishi Vigyan Kendras, State Agriculture Department and private companies working in the field of agriculture and technology.

Government to Import 1 lakh Tonnes Onion to Check Price Rise
The government said it will import 1 lakh tonnes of onion to control prices that have risen sharply to around Rs 100/kg at some places, including the national capital.
While state-owned trading firm will import onions, cooperative Nafed will supply the key kitchen staple in the domestic market. This decision was taken at a meeting of a committee of secretaries.

Govt Announces Steel Scrap Recycling Policy
In a bid to ensure quality scrap for the steel industry, the government came out with a Steel Scrap Recycling Policy that aims to reduce imports, conserve resources and save energy.
The policy aims to promote circular economy in the steel sector, besides promoting a formal and scientific collection, dismantling and processing activities for end of life products that are sources of recyclable (ferrous, non- ferrous and other non-metallic) scraps which will lead to resource conservation and energy savings and setting up of an environmentally sound management system for handling ferrous scrap.
