India, South Korea Launch First-ever Bilateral Naval Exercise

The first-ever India–South Korea bilateral naval exercise is underway at Busan Naval Base, in Korea marking a significant milestone in the growing maritime partnership between New Delhi and Seoul. Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sahyadri, an indigenously built stealth frigate, is at Busan participating in the exercise alongside the Republic of Korea Navy (RoKN) ship Gyeongnam.

Indian Navy Hosts Seminar on Cyber Threats to Maritime Security

The Indian Navy organised a seminar on the Impact of Cyber Attacks on the Maritime Sector and Its Effects on National Security and International Relations in New Delhi. The seminar aimed to deepen understanding of cyber threats in the maritime domain and foster collaboration amongst key stakeholders to enhance cybersecurity and strengthen the national cybersecurity posture. Minister of State for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada delivered the Keynote Address during the inaugural session.
The seminar aimed to advance Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across the Regions- MAHASAGAR by reinforcing a safe, secure cyberspace, and echoes the call for Aatmanirbhar Bharat through indigenous, secure-by-design digital systems and robust public-private partnership. Aligned with Maritime India Vision 2030 and the Amrit Kaal Vision 2047, the seminar positions cybersecurity as a core enabler of port-led growth, smart logistics, offshore energy security, and mission-critical naval operations.

IAF Conducts Joint Exercise With U.K.'s Carrier Strike Group in Indian Ocean

The Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out a high-intensity joint exercise with the United Kingdom's Carrier Strike Group (CSG) over the Indian Ocean Region in October 2025.
The drill featured IAF Sukhoi-30 MKIs, Jaguars, AWACS, and AEW&C aircraft operating alongside Royal Navy F-35B fighter jets from HMS Prince of Wales.
The exercise aimed to enhance interoperability, mutual trust, and operational coordination between the two forces, reaffirming their shared commitment to regional security and stability.

Indian Army Hosts UN Troop Contributing Countries' Chiefs' Conclave in New Delhi

In a first-of-its-kind diplomatic and military outreach, the Indian Army is hosting the United Nations Troop Contributing Countries (UNTCC) Army Chiefs' Conclave in New Delhi from October 14 to 16.
As per reports, China and Pakistan have not been invited to the high-profile gathering, while Bangladesh and Nepal, two of the largest troop contributors, are represented by their Vice Chiefs or three-star officers.
The conclave is seeing participation from at least 15 foreign Army Chiefs, along with senior commanders and key defence representatives from Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Overall, the event is bringing together the top brass from over 30 nations that actively contribute troops to UN peacekeeping missions.

The Border Security Force (BSF) air wing got its first woman flight engineer in its over 50 years history following completion of a first in-house training capsule.
Inspector Bhawna Chaudhary along with four male subordinate officers was recently awarded their flying badges by BSF director general Daljit Singh Chawdhary.

India, Australia Start Joint Military Exercise AUSTRAHIND 2025

The fourth edition of India and Australia's bilateral military exercise 'AUSTRAHIND 2025' is being held from October 13 to 26 at Irwin Barracks in Perth, Australia.
The exercise aims to further strengthen the operational capabilities of both the armies in undertaking joint Company-level operations in urban & semi-urban terrain, under the United Nations mandate -- reflecting the shared commitment towards global peace and security.
The High Commission welcomed 120 troops from the Indian army to Australia for 'AUSTRAHIND 2025'.

Rolls-Royce Sets Sights on Powering India's First Electric Warship

As the United Kingdom's Carrier Strike Group (CSG), led by HMS Prince of Wales, sailed into Mumbai on its Indo-Pacific mission this week, Rolls-Royce announced its readiness to collaborate with the Indian Navy on the design and deployment of the nation's first electric warship.
The move aligns with India's push for cleaner, more efficient, and future-ready defence technologies.

Taiwan President Unveils 'T-Dome' Air Defence System

Taiwan President Lai Ching-te said that the government would build the "T-Dome" air defence system to provide multi-layered protection against enemy threats, and called on China to renounce the use of force to seize Taiwan.
Democratically governed Taiwan has faced increased military and political pressure from China, which views the island as its own territory over the strong objections of the government in Taipei.
