The achievement brings scientists a small yet significant step closer to the creation of a source of near-unlimited clean energy.

BMW Unveils Car that Changes Colour
BMW unveiled a chameleon car that changes colour, in the latest attempt by automotive firms to combine their vehicles with cutting-edge technology.
At the touch of a button, a driver can change the shade of the car's exterior, allowing the colour to shift between black and white or even light and dark stripes by activating electronic ink in the wraparound shell.
According to BMW, the effect is created by applying an electrical charge to microcapsules – which contain particles of white and black pigments – suspended within a liquid encased in the wrap. The colour alternates depending on whether a negative or positive charge is applied, causing either the white or the black pigments to collect at the surface of the microcapsule.

Technicians Successfully Deploy James Webb Telescope Giant Sunshield
NASA technicians successfully fully deployed the massive sunshield protecting the James Webb Space Telescope.
The sunshield - about the size of a tennis court at full size - was folded to fit inside the payload area of an Arianespace Ariane 5 rocket's nose cone prior to launch. The Webb team began remotely deploying the sunshield on Decemebr 28, 2021, three days after launch.

TCL Electronics Announces its First Laptop 'TCL Book 14 Go'
Consumer electronics brand TCL officially announced its first laptop 'TCL Book 14 Go' offering a Snapdragon 7c chipset and Windows 11 support.
The TCL Book 14 Go is priced at $349 and it is expected to be available for purchase in Q2, 2022. At the moment, there are no details on its sale dates in different regions, reports GizmoChina.
In terms of specifications, the TCL Book 14 Go sports a 14.1-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 268 pixels resolution.
Using ALMA Scientists Discover Newborn Star
Using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), scientists have detected a newborn star and the surrounding cocoon of a complex organic matter, for the first time.
The discovery revealed the hidden chemical complexity of Universe.
The scientists used the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) in Chile for observing a newborn star (protostar) in WB89-789 region. It is located in extreme outer Galaxy.
They also detected a variety of carbon-, oxygen-, sulfur-, nitrogen-, and silicon-bearing molecules, including complex organic molecules comprising up to nine atoms.
Observations reveal that, several types of complex organic molecules, like methanol (CH3OH), methyl formate (HCOOCH3), ethanol (C2H5OH), dimethyl ether (CH3OCH3), propanenitrile (C2H5CN), formamide (NH2CHO), etc., are present in primordial environment of the Galaxy.
ALMA is an astronomical interferometer comprising of 66 radio telescopes in Atacama Desert of northern Chile. The array observes electromagnetic radiation at wavelengths of millimeter and submillimeter. Array has been constructed at the elevation of 5,000 m in Chajnantor plateau. This location was selected for its high elevation and low humidity, which are essential factors for reducing noise and decrease signal attenuation due to atmosphere of Earth.
ALMA is an international partnership between Europe, the United States, Japan, Canada, Taiwan, South Korea and Chile.

Hubble Space Telescope Observes Conjunction of Two Spiral Galaxies
While it looks like a spiral galaxy called NGC 105 is plunging edge-on into a collision with a neighboring spiral galaxy, this is just the result of the chance alignment of the two objects in the sky.
NGC 105 is located approximately 215.5 million light-years away in the constellation of Pisces.
Otherwise known as IRAS 00226+1236, LEDA 1583 and UGC 241, this spiral galaxy has a diameter of 83,700 light-years.
NGC 105 was discovered by the French astronomer Édouard Stephan in October 1884.
Quadrantid Meteor Shower
The Quadrantid meteor shower occurs in January every year. The radiant of the shower lies in the Bootes constellation.
The meteor showers are caused due to debris or trail of dust left by a comet. When the earth moves through the left-over dust particles, they catch fire. How do they fire up? Earth revolves around the sun at a speed of 1,00,000 km/sec! When the dust particles encounter such huge speeds, large amounts of frictional forces are generated. These frictional forces produce the heat energy and fire the particles. Just like a match stick! Match stick is the earth and match box is the particle (not considering the weight).
