Fellowship Scheme for Theatre Artists

The Delhi government launched a fellowship for street performance and theatre artists at Dilli Haat in Janakpuri. The scheme, which was put in the budget two years ago, was made available for people to apply in August 2019. Applications were invited from individuals working in the fields of acting, direction, scriptwriting, dance, music and other forms of street performance.
An individual fellow will be provided with Rs. 5,000 per month and an additional Rs. 4,000 will be provided for group leaders of the individual groups for logistical arrangements per show. Performances will take place across the city.
The fellowship received around 3,000 applications, of which around 1,400 were shortlisted for interviews. Thousand fellows have been selected for the scheme. They will be divided into 100 groups, each having a maximum of 10 artists.

Odisha Govt. Launches Online Platform for Issuance of Certificates

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the online platform for the issuance of income certificate, residence certificate, caste certificate and all miscellaneous certificates without any fees and on the basis of self-certification. Also, the system of asking for the Solvency certificate by the departments has been done away with.
"No Department shall ask for Solvency certificate. Instead of Solvency certificates, IT Returns, Bank Guarantee, etc for issuing licenses to storage agents, grant or renewal of excise license, quarry lease, etc, shall be asked for," said a government release.

More than 1 cr Houses Sanctioned under PM Awas Yojana (Urban)

Government said that more than one crore houses have been sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).
Briefing media in New Delhi, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri informed that one crore houses have already been sanctioned out of a validated demand of 1.12 crore houses in urban areas.
He said a total of 57 lakh houses are in various stages of construction of which, nearly 30 Lakh houses have been completed. PMAY (U) is one of the largest affordable housing programmes in the world.
Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Durga Shanker Mishra informed that the Mission has covered a range of social groups. This comprises of around 5.8 lakh senior citizens, 2 lakh construction workers, 1.5 lakh domestic workers, and 1.5 lakh artisans. He said empowerment of women is an inbuilt design of the scheme where the ownership of the house is in the name of female head of household or in the joint name.

The Centre has drafted a resettlement policy framework and a tribal development plan to help tribes' people displaced by green national highway corridors. The objective is to design projects in a way that fosters full respect for Indigenous People's dignity, human rights, and cultural uniqueness and so that they receive culturally compatible, gender and inter-generationally inclusive benefits.

Bjp To Launch a Campaign In Every District On Work Done By Centre For Farmers

The BJP will run a campaign in every district to communicate farmers about the work done by the Centre for their welfare.
There is a lot of anger among the farmers residing in the villages against the opposition and those who are creating confusion over the Citizenship Amendment Act.
The party will expose the rumours being spread on the Citizenship Amendment Bill. BJP is a party of people of all religions and Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of the entire country.

Ordinance to Amend Insolvency Law Gets Approval

The Union Cabinet cleared an ordinance to amend the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code that would ring-fence successful bidders from criminal proceedings against offences committed by previous promoters, a move came four days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to decriminalise business failures.
The move will help safeguard corporate debtors, protect last mile funding, boost investments in financially distressed sectors and speed-up the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP).

Centre Approves Scheme for Groundwater

The Cabinet approved the Atal Bhujal Yojana, a Rs. 6,000-crore scheme that will be implemented in the next five years, with an aim to improve groundwater management through community participation in seven states.
The scheme is expected to benefit nearly 8,350 gram panchayats in 78 districts in Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
The scheme, also known as 'Atal Jal', will promote panchayat-led groundwater management and behavioural change with primary focus on demand-side management. Of the total outlay of Rs. 6,000 crore, 50% will be in the form of World Bank loan and will be repaid by the Central government. The remaining 50% will be through Central assistance from budgetary support. The Bank's loan component and Central assistance will be passed on to states as grants.
