Data Privacy Day (known in Europe as Data Protection Day) is an international event that occurs every year on 28 January. The purpose of Data Privacy Day is to raise awareness and promote privacy and data protection best practices. It is currently observed in the United States, Canada, Nigeria, Israel and 47 European countries.
The day was initiated by the Council of Europe to be first held in 2007 as the European Data Protection Day. Two years later, on 26 January 2009, the United States House of Representatives passed House Resolution HR 31 by a vote of 402–0, declaring 28 January National Data Privacy Day. On 28 January 2009, the Senate passed Senate Resolution 25 also recognizing 28 January 2009 as National Data Privacy Day. The United States Senate also recognized Data Privacy Day in 2010 and 2011.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day
International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust (International Holocaust Remembrance Day) is observed on January 27. In 2022, the theme guiding the United Nations Holocaust remembrance and education is "Memory, Dignity and Justice". The objective of the day is to commemorate the anniversary of the tragedy of the Holocaust that occurred during the Second World War.
A genocide occurred during World War II in which Nazi Germany, aided by its collaborators, systematically murdered some six million European Jews, around two-thirds of the Jewish population of Europe, between 1941 and 1945. United Nations designated the day in 2005 to serve as a date for official commemoration of the victims of the Nazi regime and to promote Holocaust education throughout the world.

International Customs Day
January 26 marks the celebration of International Customs Day (ICD) all across the world with the United Nations as the host. It is an annual event that is meant to acknowledge and appreciate the role that customs officials and agencies play in ensuring the smooth flow of goods across the world borders. The endeavour is to emphasise the working conditions and challenges that customs officers face in their jobs.
The inception of the ICD dates back to 1953. The Customs Cooperation Council (CCC) formally announced the observance of ICD on January 26 that year in an inaugural session held in Brussels, Belgium. It was attended by representatives from 17 European countries. CCC was renamed World Customs Organization (WCO) in 1994. Now, WCO comprises 182 member states from all parts of the world.
This year, the theme chosen by WCO for ICD 2022 was 'Scaling up Customs Digital Transformation by Embracing a Data Culture and Building a Data Ecosystem'.

National Tourism Day 2022
National Tourism Day is celebrated across the country on January 25 every year to appreciate India's beauty and spread awareness about the importance of tourism and its impact on the economy. The ministry of tourism observed National Tourism Day 2022 under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', a 75-week grand celebration to mark 75 years of India's independence. Himachal Pradesh Celebrates its Golden Jubilee Statehood Day

National Voters' Day
The National Voters' Day is celebrated every year on January 25 to encourage the country's voters to participate in the electoral process. The year 2022 saw the 12th edition of National Voters' Day.
The first-ever National Voters' Day was celebrated on January 25, 2011, to encourage more young voters to take part in the electoral process. The Union Government, then led by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, approved a proposal of the law ministry to this effect.
The theme for 2022 National Voters' Day was 'Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative'.
Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju was the Guest of Honour. During the event, National Awards for the Best Electoral Practises for the year 2021-22 were given to state and district level officers for their outstanding performance in the conduct of elections in different areas.

International Day of Education
The International Day of Education is annually celebrated on January 24. The year 2022 marked the fourth year of celebration, with the theme 'Changing Course, Transforming Education'.
The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in December, 2018 proclaimed the celebration of this day to mark the importance of education in ensuring peace and development. The resolution to mark this International Day of Education was authored by 59 member states. This demonstrated the unwavering political will to support transformative actions for inclusive, equitable and quality education for all.

The 4th Asian Ministerial Conference on Tiger conservation was held in hybrid organized by the Government of Malaysia and coordinated by Global Tiger Forum (GTF).
