CM to Inaugurates Katpadi's First Government Hospital

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will virtually inaugurate the first full-fledged 60 bed-Government Taluk Hospital at Serkadu village in Katpadi, Vellore, on October 6.
Officials of the Public Works Department (PWD), which executed the multi-crore project, said that the new government hospital has modern health facilities, including ECG, CT scan, and surgery theatres.

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy Launches Pan-India E-Waste Recycling Drive

Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched a Pan-India E-waste recycling drive under the Special Campaign 5.0. The campaign will run till the 31^st of this month. The Ministry of Mines said that the e-waste collection drive aims to systematically dispose of unserviceable computers, laptops, printers, LED displays, mobile phones, and other obsolete electronic equipment that have accumulated over time. It added that this initiative will support the objectives of the National Critical Minerals Mission by reducing import dependency and strengthening India's clean energy transition.

Union Home Minister Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stone for Rs. 825 Crore Development Projects ...

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in October 2025, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth approximately 825 crore rupees in Kurukshetra. These included the foundation stone laying of 11 projects, including five nursing colleges, 84 residences at Jind Police Line, the inauguration of the Pediatric Rest House in Narnaul, and the 300-bed Assandh Sub-Divisional Hospital. Chief Minister Nayab Singh, Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal, and Cabinet Minister Anil Vij, along with several other ministers, were also present. On this occasion, Shah praised the Haryana government for working with the Spirit of Service for Good Governance.

Chandra Sekhara Reddy Appointed National Advisor, EESL

In a significant move to further accelerate India's energy efficiency and conservation drive, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of Public Sector Undertakings under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, appointed A. Chandra Sekhara Reddy as its National Advisor for Government Affairs & Media.
With this appointment, Mr. Reddy will play a key role in shaping EESL's outreach and stakeholder engagement strategy, strengthening its presence at both national and global forums, and ensuring effective communication of the organization's mission of promoting sustainable energy practices.

The BRO has been instrumental in connecting some of the world's highest mountain passes, with 11 out of the 14 highest motorable passes globally built by it.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Secy Prabodh Saxena Retires, Then Appointed Power Board's Chief

Himachal Pradesh chief secretary Prabodh Saxena superannuated in September after serving a six-month extension, but was appointed the chairman of Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board.
Originally, Saxena was to retire on March 31, but got an extension. State govt is yet to announce his successor for the chief secretary's post.
Electricity board chairman Sanjay Gupta has now been appointed as the head of the state pollution control board, confirmed the chief minister's principal media advisor, Naresh Chauhan.

President Murmu Presents Diamond Jubilee Silver Trumpet and Trumpet Banner to President's Bodyguard

President Droupadi Murmu, in September 2025, presented the Diamond Jubilee Silver Trumpet and Trumpet Banner to the President's Bodyguard (PBG) at a ceremonial event held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, marking 75 years since the elite regiment was designated as the PBG in 1950.
President Murmu lauded the PBG for its professional excellence, discipline, and unwavering adherence to the finest military traditions. She noted that the honour of receiving the Silver Trumpet and Trumpet Banner comes with a "significant responsibility" and expressed confidence that the regiment would continue to uphold its glorious legacy.
The President's Bodyguard is the oldest regiment of the Indian Army, tracing its origins back to 1773 when it was raised as the Governor-General's Bodyguard, later known as the Viceroy's Bodyguard. Following India's transition to a republic, the regiment was renamed the President's Bodyguard on January 27, 1950.
The tradition of presenting the Silver Trumpet and Trumpet Banner to the PBG began with Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, who bestowed the honour on May 14, 1957.
Uniquely, the PBG remains the only regiment in the Indian Army permitted to carry two 'Standards' – the President's Standard of Body Guard and the Regimental Standard of The PBG.

PM Modi Releases Stamp and Coin to Mark 100 Years of RSS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a special commemorative postage stamp and coin to mark the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The event honoured the 100-year journey of the organisation, founded in 1925 in Nagpur by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
