India Planning to Launch 32 Space Missions

As per reports, India is planning to launch 32 space missions in 2019. The year 2019 promises to be challenging to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) community with 32 planned missions.
The missions include the second lunar mission Chandrayaan-2 to land on the moon with lander and rover.
India`s maiden human space mission in 2021-22, Gaganyaan, will also be pursued this year.

First Detailed Images of Ultima Thule

The first detailed images beamed back from the US agency's New Horizons mission allowed scientists to confidently determine the body was formed when two spheres, or "lobes," slowly gravitated towards each other until they stuck together.
The New Horizons spacecraft flew past Ultima Thule, which was discovered via telescope in 2014 and is the farthest and potentially the oldest cosmic body ever observed by a spacecraft.

Algorithm to Detect Rare Cells Developed

A new algorithm developed by Delhi-based researchers has made it very easy to find rare cells from a very large pool of cells in a matter of seconds.
The algorithm, Finder of Rare Entities (FiRE), assigns a rareness score to each cell that is computed based on the gene expression profile of about twenty thousand genes.
Cells having scores above a certain threshold are reported as rare cells.

Google Introduces Spam Protection

Google has begun rolling out its spam protection feature for Messages after almost over six months of developing it for Android users.
This spam protection feature is now going live, though not everyone seems to have it just yet.
Once introduced, users can disable this feature in the Settings and then in the Advanced menu.
Earlier this week, Google announced it was planning to shift its Messages web app -- which allows users to manage SMS/MMS messages on their phone from another device, from Android.com to Google.com.

Google to Shift Messages Web App

As per reports, Google is planning to shift its Messages web app, which allows users to manage SMS/MMS messages on their phone from another device, from Android.com to Google.com.
According to 9to5google.com, the move is seen as Google's plan to minimise the use of the word 'Android'.
The Android Messages web app has long been hosted at the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) of 'messages.android.com'.
But in the coming weeks, the service could be shifted to 'messages.google.com'.

USTAD Robot for Safety and Maintenance

The Nagpur Division of Indian Railways has made an in-house robot that can help the Railways maintain safety and security of its passengers through artificial intelligence.
The Undergear Surveillance Through Artificial Intelligence Assisted Droid (USTAD) robot can go under the Railway coaches to check for deeper details related to security and maintenance of the train.
It can thoroughly test the locomotive for any technical faults and inform the Railway maintenance authority in case of any fault.
The artificial intelligence used in the robot will also help in repair work.

China's First Satellite for Broadband Internet Services

China launched its first communication satellite to provide broadband internet services worldwide in an apparent bid to rival Google and other international firms.
The satellite was launched from a Long March 11 carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in north-western China and is the first in the Hongyun project planned by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp (CASIC).
The Hongyun project, started in September 2016, aims to build a space-based communications network to provide broadband internet connectivity to users around the world, especially those in the underserved regions.
