Pro Panja League, in collaboration with the People's Armwrestling Federation of India, announced that India is hosting the prestigious 23rd Asian Armwrestling Championship and the 22nd Asian Para-Armwrestling Championship in New Delhi from May 6 to 10.
The high-profile tournament features top athletes from fourteen countries, including India, Iran, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Nepal and Jordan.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Inaugurates Khelo India Multipurpose Hall in Arunachal Pradesh
In a boost to sports infrastructure in the Northeast, Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya, inaugurated the Khelo India Multipurpose Hall in Kamle district of Arunachal Pradesh. State Ministers Kento Jini and Nyato Dukam were also present on the occasion.
Fully funded by Central Government, the Khelo India Multipurpose Hall has been built at a cost of Rs. 8 Crore. It aims to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure and training facilities to promote grassroots-level sports in the region.
Equipped with modern amenities, the hall will cater to multiple indoor sports including boxing, badminton, judo, wushu, karate, taekwondo, weightlifting, table tennis, and volleyball, enabling young athletes from the region to train professionally and compete at national and international levels.
Kalinga Super Cup Should be an Annual Event
Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo called for the Kalinga Super Cup to become a permanent fixture in the Indian football calendar, following the successful hosting of the tournament in Bhubaneswar.

Subhasish Bose Crowned AIFF Men's Player of the Year
Subhasish Bose and Soumya Guguloth were named the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Best Men's and Women's Players of the Year 2024-25 on the AIFF Awards Day in Bhubaneswar. The award function was held in the Odisha capital on the eve of the Kalinga Super Cup 2025 final.
Apart from Bose and Guguloth, the other individual award winners were Khalid Jamil (Best Men's Coach), Sujata Kar (Best Women's Coach), Vishal Kaith (Best Men's Goalkeeper), Elangbam Panthoi Chanu (Best Women's Goalkeeper), Brison Fernandes (Promising Men's Player), Toijam Thoibisana Chanu (Promising Women's Player), Venkatesh R (Best Male Referee), Tekcham Ranjita Devi (Best Female Referee), Vairamuthu P (Best Male Assistant Referee), and Riiohlang Dhar (Best Female Assistant Referee).
Lloyd Tennant Appointed as Ireland Women's Team Head Coach
Cricket Ireland announced Lloyd Tennant as Ireland Women's team head coach. Tennant will begin his tenure on June 1, replacing Ed Joyce.
