Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Launches Badalta BharatMera Anubhav Campaign
To celebrate over a decade of transformative governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, in collaboration with MyGov, launched a nationwide creative campaign titled 'Badalta Bharat Mera Anubhav.' The initiative invites citizens from all walks of life to participate and win exciting prizes across five unique creative challenges, all of which will close on July 9.
TTDF Symposium 2025 Concludes Successfully
The Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) Symposium 2025, was successfully organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) under the Ministry of Communications from June 19 to 21, 2025 at the IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai. The three-day event provided a platform for fund beneficiaries to come together, explore synergies, and identify collaborative pathways to advance their R&D efforts—ensuring not only successful outcomes but also broader benefits for the entire innovation ecosystem.
The symposium witnessed participation from over 500+ stakeholders, including Principal Investigators of ongoing TTDF-funded R&D projects, senior officials from DoT, Bharat 6G Alliance, TSDSI, C-DoT, COAI, and leading telecom companies.

DGR Hosts Job Fair Exclusively for Armed Forces Officers
Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR), Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DESW), Ministry of Defence (MoD) organised a Job Fair exclusively for Armed Forces Officers, in New Delhi. More than 500 retired/retiring officers from Tri-Services registered online seeking employment and further participating in the event. Of the total 41 registered companies, 25 physically offered 100 plus job vacancies in the fair. The shortlisted officers will be interviewed/screened and subsequently employed as Mid to Senior rank/level Managers, Administrators, Strategic Planners and Project Directors.
Nirmala Sitharaman Releases Fifth Edition of National Time Release Study (NTRS)
Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman released fifth edition of National Time Release Study (NTRS), during the CBIC Conclave held in New Delhi.
The Time Release Study (TRS) is a performance measurement tool that provides a quantitative assessment of the time taken for cargo release, helping to evaluate the efficiency of the clearance process. Since 2019, TRS has been conducted at 15 major locations, including seaports, Air Cargo Complexes (ACCs), Inland Container Depots (ICDs), and Integrated Check Posts (ICPs).
The fifth edition also adopted advanced methodologies to enable stage-wise and process-specific evaluations. This edition marked another milestone by widening its geographical coverage to three additional ports: Kochi Seaport, Garhi Harsaru ICD, and Jaigaon LCS.

ECI's New SOP Ensures EPIC Delivery within 15 Days
In a move aimed at enhancing voter convenience and improving the efficiency of electoral services, the Election Commission of India (ECI) introduced a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to deliver Elector Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) within 15 days of any update in the electoral rolls. This fast-track delivery system reflects ECI's ongoing digital transformation under the leadership of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alongside Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi.
MoSPI Organises AI Literacy Workshop
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, organised an AI Literacy Workshop in New Delhi. The Workshop brought together various stakeholders including Voluntary Organisations working in the field of Artificial Intelligence (Wadhwani AI), Multilateral Organisation (World Bank) and officers from MoSPI.
The objective of the Workshop was to deliberate upon the transformative potential of AI in official statistics and public sector decision-making.
Eight Elected to Rajya Sabha Unopposed
Eight candidates, two from Assam and six from Tamil Nadu, were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha, even as the biennial elections to the eight seats were slated for June 19. With the opposition parties not filing any candidate for the two Rajya Sabha seats in the North-eastern state, NDA candidates -- Kanad Purkayastha and sitting Rajya Sabha MP Birendra Prasad Baishya -- won the two seats. The ruling BJP had nominated Purkayastha for one of the seats, while its alliance partner Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) nominated Baishya.

Operation Sindhu: India Evacuates Nationals from Conflict-Hit Iran
Amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel, the Government of India has launched 'Operation Sindhu' to ensure the safe evacuation of Indian nationals stranded in the conflict-affected regions of Iran.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has initiated coordinated efforts through Indian embassies in Tehran and Yerevan to transport evacuees to safer zones and back home.
The first batch of 110 Indian students was successfully brought to Armenia and flown to New Delhi in a special flight on June 18, 2025.
The move reflects India's prioritization of citizens' safety abroad and diplomatic agility during emergencies.

Bihar Becomes First State to Adopt e-voting System for Urban Polls
The Bihar State Election Commission (SEC) initiated the rollout of a mobile-based e-voting system, making Bihar the first Indian state to adopt such a modern and inclusive voting process. The new system will be launched during the municipal and urban body polls scheduled for June 28, 2025.
e-voting refers to the process of casting votes through electronic devices, in this case, Android-based mobile phones. This method allows eligible voters to participate in elections remotely, without the need to visit a polling booth.
One of the key highlights of Bihar's e-voting system is its robust digital security infrastructure. The system incorporates advanced technological features to ensure tamper-proof and secure elections.
India Hosts First Assembly of International Big Cat Alliance in Delhi
The first Assembly of the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA), a global initiative envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the conservation of big cats, was held in New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav and attended by ministerial delegations from nine countries, including Bhutan, Cambodia, Eswatini, Guinea, India, Liberia, Suriname, Somalia, and Kazakhstan.
The Assembly unanimously endorsed Bhupender Yadav as the President and S. P. Yadav as the Director General of IBCA. It also ratified key documents, including the Headquarters Agreement with India, the Workplan, Rules of Procedure, and Financial Regulations, laying the groundwork for effective operations of the alliance.
The IBCA, established by the Government of India through the National Tiger Conservation Authority in March 2024, comprises 95 range countries.
