Ramiz Raja Removed as Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman
Former cricketer Ramiz Raja was removed as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) by the country's government, which appointed a 14-member committee, headed by Najam Sethi, to run the affairs of the game for the next four months.
The Pakistan government removed Raja following the team's 3-0 whitewash by England in the Test series.
The developments confirmed speculation that Sharif, who is the patron-in-chief of the PCB, had decided to appoint Sethi as the new chairman of the country's cricket body.
Raja served as PCB chairman for 15 months after he was appointed by former Premier Imran Khan to head the board in September 2021.
Aman Sehrawat Wins Gold at Senior National Wrestling Championship
World under-23 champion Aman Sehrawat claimed the gold medal in the men's 57 kg freestyle at the Senior National Wrestling Championships at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Kochi, Kerala. Aman defeated Udit of Haryana to finish at the top.
Rahul and Atish Todkar won the bronze medals.

Rehan Ahmed Becomes Youngest to Claim Five-wicket Haul on Test Debut
England's leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed became the youngest men's Test cricketer to take a five-wicket haul on debut during the third match against Pakistan at the National Bank Cricket Arena. After making his Test debut at 18 years and 126 days, Rehan claimed three wickets in six overs on his way to 5-48 in the second innings, playing a key role in bowling out Pakistan for 216 in 74.5 overs on day three of the match. France's Karim Benzema Announced Retirement from International Football
France footballer Karim Benzema announced his retirement from International football. Benzema ended his time with France with 37 goals in 97 appearances, but his time with the squad has not been easy since his debut 15 years ago. When Benzema made his debut for France against Austria in March 2007, he scored while playing as a substitute.
He was chosen for France's Euro 2008 team, however after the team was eliminated early, he faced criticism for his efforts. Benzema was left out of France's squad for the 2010 World Cup despite participating in the qualification campaign on a regular basis. In Hockey, the Indian Women's Hockey Team defeated Spain 1-0 in the final to win the FIH Women's Nations Cup 2022 in Valencia, Spain. Indian remained undefeated during the tournament and also got promoted to the 2023-24 FIH Hockey Women's Pro League. This was the inaugural season of the Women's FIH Nations Cup, with a promotion to next year's Women's Pro League hockey up for grabs for the winner. For India, Gurjit Kaur scored the winning goal of the match in the first quarter. Hockey India announced Rs. 2 Lakh for each player and Rs. 1 Lakh for each support staff of the Indian Women's Hockey Team that won the FIH Women's Nations Cup 2022.
Ruud Wins 2022 Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award
Casper Ruud was announced as the winner of the 2022 Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award. The winner of this particular award is selected by fellow players on the ATP Tour.

Former All-rounder Manoj Prabhakar Quits as Nepal Men's Team Head Coach
Former India all-rounder Manoj Prabhakar stepped down as Nepal team head coach after a four-month stint.
Prabhakar, who took 96 wickets and scored 1600 runs from 39 Tests between 1984 and 1995, was appointed to the post in August 2022. He had also played in 130 ODIs, taking 157 wickets from them.
Prabhakar was at the helm of affairs for the Nepal men's team in only five T20Is and seven ODIs, including four matches in the World Cup Super League 2.
Under him, Nepal had a successful tour of Kenya, winning a five-match T20I series 3-2 and then sweeping the ODIs 3-0. Nepal also won a home ODI series against UAE 2-1.
