Britain’s Biggest Ever Warship Queen Elizabeth Starts Trials
HMS Queen Elizabeth, Britain's biggest ever warship, is conducting sea trials ahead of her commissioning in 2018. The ₤3.5bn ($4.5bn) vessel is the world's largest aircraft carrier outside of the US navy. The vessel outstrips aircraft carriers operated by the Russian and Chinese navies as also Indian Navy's INS Vikramaditya. Its length covers three football pitches . The vessel is also longer than the houses of UK Parliament.

Conservationists find rare Siamese crocodile eggs in Cambodia
Conservationists in Cambodia have found a nest with 19 eggs from one of the world’s most endangered crocodiles, boosting hopes for a rare species threatened by poachers and habitat loss. The clutch of fist-sized eggs was discovered this week by environmental officers and local villagers near a pond in southwestern Koh Kong province, according to the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), which assisted with the discovery. The group had been searching for tracks, dung and other signs of wild Siamese Crocodiles, a species whose population has plummeted at an alarming rate in recent years. Researchers believe only 400 adults still exist in the wild, mostly in Cambodia.

Designed to be a quick reaction missile, it involves an all-weather weapon system capable of tracking and firing.

China’s New Heavy Lift Rocket Launch Fails in Flight
China’s launch of a new heavy-lift rocket, the Long March-5 Y2, carrying what the government said was its heaviest ever satellite, failed on Sunday. The same rocket type had been expected to take China’s latest lunar probe to the Moon this year and to return with samples.It is not clear how the timetable for that mission could be affected by the failed launch.President Xi Jinping has prioritised advancing China’s space programme to strengthen national security and defence, and the government has stressed it is a purely peaceful initiative.

GSAT-17 Launched Successfully
India's latest communication satellite GSAT-17 was successfully launched by a heavy duty rocket of Arianespace from the spaceport of Kourou in French Guiana.
GSAT-17 is the 21st satellite from ISRO to be launched by Arianespace, and its designed in-orbit operational life is about 15 years.
