Kit to Identify Genetically Fit Sperms for IVF

In what could prove to be a significant breakthrough in In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) technique, a scientist associated with Lucknow-based Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) has come up with a kit capable of identifying genetically fit sperms.
The single-use kit, which will hit the market by mid-2020, can help in identification of epigenetic markers on the DNA of the sperm.
Through these markers, we can establish whether the DNA is genetically fit or not.
Dr. Rajender Singh along with his team is credited with the innovation.

First YouTube Channels to Cross 90 Million Subscribers

PewDiePie and T-Series became first YouTube channels to cross 90 million subscribers.
The historic feat was first achieved by the Swedish gamer Felix Kjellberg's PewDiePie, followed by the Indian production firm T-Series.
The battle between the two channels for the top spot on YouTube and the ensuing campaigns to get more followers was a key factor in achieving this milestone.
The race between the two YouTube giants has been going on for months now.
PewDiePie has dominated the top spot for six years and continues to do so.

Traces of Enormous Solar Storm

A team of researchers has found traces of enormous solar storm in Greenland that struck ancient Earth around 2,600 years ago.
According to the researchers, the finding has provided a stark warning that another event of this size could not be too far away.
The team of scientists, which examined the chemicals preserved in Greenland ice sheet, concluded that the storm was nearly 10 times stronger than anything detected in past 70 years of modern measurements.

Movement of Water Molecules on Moon

NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) spacecraft has observed water molecules moving around the dayside of the moon, a finding that may prove beneficial as the agency plans to put astronauts back on the lunar surface.
Lyman Alpha Mapping Project (LAMP) -- the instrument aboard LRO -- measured sparse layer of molecules temporarily stuck to the Moon's surface.
The study is an important step in advancing the water story on the Moon and is a result of years of accumulated data from the LRO mission.

First-ever All Female Spacewalk

Two NASA astronauts are scheduled to carry out the first-ever all female spacewalk in history on March 29.
NASA astronauts Anne McClain and Christina Koch will share the credit of performing the spacewalk at the International Space Station.
The two will receive support on the ground by Canadian Space Agency flight controller Kristen Facciol.
While McClain is currently on the ISS, Koch is set to blast off on March 14 to reach the space station.
