NASA astronauts, Space Station Crew Mates Return to Earth

NASA astronaut Anne McClain, veteran cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko of Roscosmos, and Canadian Space Agency record-holder David Saint-Jacques emerged from the space craft to applause from support crews, after touching down near the Kazakh city of Dzhezkazgan.
The trio's launch on December 3, 2018 was the first after a Soyuz rocket carrying Russia's Aleksey Ovchinin and US astronaut Nick Hague failed in October (2018) just minutes after blast-off, forcing the pair to make an emergency landing.

SpaceX Launches Falcon Heavy Rocket

SpaceX launched its Falcon Heavy rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, carrying 24 experimental satellites in what Elon Musk's rocket company called one of the most difficult launches it has attempted.
The mission, dubbed Space Test Program 2 (STP-2), is the third for the Falcon Heavy rocket, which SpaceX describes as the most powerful launch system in the world.
The company put satellites into orbit for agencies including NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), defense department laboratories, universities and a non-profit organisation.

Tech Mahindra Unveils K2

Tech Mahindra Ltd introduced K2, the first Human Resource (HR) Humanoid, for its Noida Special Economic Zone Campus in Uttar Pradesh, after unveiling it in its Hyderabad campus earlier this month.
K2 would take over the routine HR transactions to provide constant assistance to the HR team in creating an enhanced employee experience.
K2 leverages state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology and initiates conversation without any need for wake-up commands.
It can respond to queries with text display along with speech and can address general HR-related employee queries as well as handle personal requests for actions like providing payslip, tax forms and more.

First Song Recorded from Rare Whale

For the first time, scientists have recorded singing by one of the rarest whales on Earth, and it just might be looking for a date.
The crooning comes from a possibly lovelorn North Pacific right whale and its song was documented by researchers in the Bering Sea off Alaska's coast.
The song may not be a greatest hit, but is classified by marine biologists as an underwater call using a distinct pattern of sounds.
And it is the scientists' best guess that this serenade of the seas is a mating call from a lonely aquatic mammal.

Two Earth-like Planets Discovered

Scientists have discovered two new Earth-like planets around one of the closest stars within our galactic neighbourhood.
The planets are located only 12.5 light years away orbiting the Teegarden star, a red dwarf in the direction of the constellation of Aries.
Both the planets are similar to the planets in the inner part of the Solar System.
According to researchers, they are just a little bigger than the Earth and are situated in the habitable zone where water can exist as a liquid.
As per Stefan Dreizler, a researcher at the University of Gottingen, it is possible that the two planets are part of a larger system.

Lunar Orbiter Spacecraft

The mother orbiter spacecraft of Mission Chandrayaan-2 reached the launch port of Sriharikota from Bengaluru and would soon be joined by its lander and rover companions.
Their epic journey of 3.84 lakh km to Moon, to land on it and explore its surface would begin on July 15, 2019.
