The UN Security Council has designated Hamza bin Laden, the son of Osama bin Laden, under its sanctions list, calling him the "most probable successor" to al-Qaeda's current leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.
The UN Security Council's 1267 ISIS and Al Qaida Sanctions Committee listed Hamza, the day the U.S. announced a reward of up to $1 million for information about him.
Saudi Arabia also announced that it had revoked the citizenship of Hamza via a royal decree.
Extradition of Huawei Executive to the US
Canada launched the extradition of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou to the United States, the latest move in a case that has roiled relations between the North American neighbours and China.
Beijing said that Ottawa's action amounted to a severe political incident.
Ms. Meng was changing planes in Vancouver in December when she was detained at Washington's request on suspicion of violating U.S. sanctions on Iran, sparking arrests of Canadians in China that were seen as retaliatory.

Reliance Industries Arm to Acquire Grab, C-Square Info
Reliance Industrial Investments and Holdings Ltd. (RIIHL) has entered into agreements to acquire logistics services platform Grab and software firm C-Square Info Solutions.
Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), said that its wholly owned subsidiary Reliance Industrial Investments and Holdings has entered into an agreement for the acquisition of equity shares of Grab A Grub Services Private Limited for a cash consideration not exceeding Rs. 106 crore.
In a separate filing, RIIHL has agreed to acquire equity shares of C-Square Info Solutions Private Limited for a cash consideration not exceeding Rs. 22.04 crore.
JSW Steel and Duferco Ink Pact
JSW Steel inked a 5-year advance payment and supply agreement with Duferco International Trading Holding for $700 million.
The pact, executed in February, entails a financing structure that would provide JSW long-term funding to complement its plans for future growth secured by committed exports of steel products to DITH.
For Duferco International Trading Holding (DITH), the transaction assures a captive supply of various steel products from JSW over the term of the agreement.
The deal is the largest trade finance facility arranged in the Indian steel sector. In the past, JSW and DITH have entered into similar pacts on a smaller scale but for longer periods, all of which have been completed.

Lok Sabha member Savitri Bai Phule, who had resigned from the BJP, joined the Congress party in the presence of party president Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh (East) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Ms. Phule had quit the BJP after accusing it of being an anti-Dalit party.
She is the first prominent politician to join the Congress after Ms. Vadra was appointed party general secretary.
