I THINK THE ANSWER SHOULD BE BOTH A AND R ARE CORRECT BUT R IS NOT CORRECT EXPLANATION OF A. R IS CORRECT AS Cu T RELEASES Cu IONS THAT DECREASE SPERM MOTILITY AND INCREASE ITS PHAGOCYTOSIS THUS PREVENTING ITS ENTRY INTO FALLOPIAN TUBE. PL ENLIGHTEN AS TO WHY THIS OPTION THEN IS INCORRECT.
