I THINK THE ANSWER SHOULD BE BOTH A AND R ARE CORRECT BUT R IS NOT CORRECT EXPLANATION OF A. R IS CORRECT AS Cu T RELEASES Cu IONS THAT DECREASE SPERM MOTILITY AND INCREASE ITS PHAGOCYTOSIS THUS PREVENTING ITS ENTRY INTO FALLOPIAN TUBE. PL ENLIGHTEN AS TO WHY THIS OPTION THEN IS INCORRECT.

The Li molecules are much smaller than OH molecules which makes the structure unstable. Also,  The lattice enthalpy of LiOH is higher than its hydration enthalpy leading to weaker bonding between Li+ and OH-.
