Requiring university students to take a variety of courses outside their major fields of study is the best way to ensure that students become truly educated.

The statement claims that universities should encourage students to take up variety of courses outside their major field of study for becoming truly educated .As for aquiring more and more knowledge they should take more courses other than their major field. It is true that for aquiring knowledge we should study diversed courses other than our major field to become truly educated. Nevertheless its true that student might not be interested in studying courses other than their major courses which could lead to undesireable consequenses. Attending or learning various courses does not mean that student could get truly educated without deep thinking.
However in my viewpoint the study of various courses could help us gain diversified knowledge other than our major course. As the person with various knowledge could be very much useful than the person having limited knowledge. These different courses would help us in enrich our knowledge through divesified learning as knowledge is more important than the grades which we attain in our exams. Thorough learning is a useful thing which helps us in fruitful results in our life.
One of my beleif is to become truly educated is we must not limit our self as learning different things would always help us in our life. As in a case my major filed are mechanical and i took literature as the additional subject which not only helped in the exam by preventing me to do grammatical mistakes but i also learnt about prominent writers and their masterpiece in the english field. As here through english literature gave the edge from learning differently and made me much more about my major course.
Another reason for my belief is somewhat unrealistic that students sometime wants some change from their major subject it also helps them not to get bored from their major subject so different course could help it out for student in effective learning. As a result by learning the different course would definitely broaden the vision of the student which helps to become truly educated and gain knowledge other than their field.
On the contrary the it would not be feasible that student would not like to learn a different subject other than his major subject as some of student just want to get credits by studying proir to exam by burning midnight oil of cane are not refered to as truly educated. If they take up other subjects they are not able to give a suitable time to their major subjects which could loose their marks in their particular subject .As an example the science student has no use of learning history for future as just its not useful for him.
At the end i would like to conclude that the students who wish to aquire or learn different knowledge could be benffited by the above statement as they are able to learn certain new different things and gain appropiate knowledge to become truly educated which could be very much helpful for their future.

ISSUE TASK: Government should offer a free university education to any student who has been admitted to a university but who cannot afford the tuition.
Education is a powerful weapon which can transform the world. Universities not only help in enhancing mental aptitude or knowledge of a person but also lead to all-round development & growth, shaping & focussing the career. Education is the right of every citizen and should not be biased on the basis of gender, caste, religion & social status.
Given the rise of cost of education and increase in middle class family strata, it is becoming more and more difficult to attain a high level of education. So I believe government should offer a free university education to any student who has been admitted to a university but who cannot afford the tuition fee. Since there is upsurge in education costs, middle class and below average people get deprived of education and thus increasing the gap between the various levels of society. Government spending on education will bring fruit in another sense. There will be a spurt of engineers, doctors, lawyers and trained professionals which will eventually lead to development of the nation as a whole.
Government exempting the people from tuition fee will have benefits manifold. Many students who withdraw themselves from schools & universities and start working will eventually seek higher education- especially those who have merit but not funding. With sound education they will contribute to the welfare of society and crime rate will fall rapidly.
On the other hand government has to spend lavishly on laboratories, advanced technology and research projects. This will definitely affect the salaries of staff and overall working of the university. Quality of education may drop, and thus policy makers will have to handle the situation with greater care. In nutshell, I would like to say that exempting meritorious students from tuition fee will bring forth more number of professionals, more research work, more doctorate degrees and masters education but on careful scrutiny it can be said that an enormous amount of money and energy will be required to accomplish this task. So policy makers must ruminate before executing this law.

ISSUE: A NATION SHOULD REQUIRE ALL ITS STUDENTS TO STUDY THE SAME NATIONAL CURRICULUM UNTIL THEY ENTER COLLEGE

A nation is largely dependent on the younger generation for its sustained growth in the future. Education is the key element which defines their career. A curriculum is a defined set of courses and subjects laid by an authority which is followed by their affiliated institutions. A nationl curriculum, on the other hand, is a standard list of all the courses to be followed in a particular institution. The need for having a common national curriculum is of paramount importance as it greatly affects the process of learning.
Students are often discriminated on the basis of their institution- public and private. If there is a common national curriculum then students belonging to any one of the institution will not get an unfair advantage over the others in terms of the knowledge and exposure because of their same curriculum. This will ensure a common basis for evaluation when seeking admission in a college for further education.
There are often times when students from different institutions work together to carry out their academic projects. The scope of knowledge and proper understanding of a particular subject is then required for the successful completion of such a project. Under these circumstances, same curriculum will facilitate all the students to participate and hence ensure an equal opportunity to each one of them. In that way students can carry out any academic work with better coordination and compatibility.
A curriculum, on the other hand, should be judiciously prepared while keeping in view of all the essentials required to be included in the education of these youths. A committee comprising of experienced professionals of all the fields should be incorporated in the eduacation department specifically for the drafting of a curriculum. Their knowledge and expertise will help in devising a suitable curriculum of proportionate courses. Keeping all the things in mind, a national curriculum should address the various needs and demands of the present and should be dynamic in nature.
A well devised national curriculum will therefore help in the addresal of all the issues which might arise in its absence and will cater to the needs of the individual student, giving him an equal and just opportunity to pursue his further education with ease and interest.

"Government should place few, if any, restrictions on scientific research and development."

Researches are stepping stones towards determining the growth and development rate of any nation. In this globalized economy, no country can't stay in isolation, thus to meet the emerging changes timely researches are conducted by authorized committees so that the government, indirectly the citizens of country, can take benefit from new growth and development patterns.

Government is potent factor in initiating, finalizing the concept, budgeting any new research program. But the government should try to restrain itself from interfering into the ongoing functioning, since the personnel who have been recruited for a particular project are indeed specialists of that core area and understand the pros and cons of situation pretty well. At times, the government official having minimal or even no knowledge about the process questions the researchers, this somehow creates a complex situation as in a way they are doubting towards the perfectionism or loyalty of those scientists; this in a way causes a blow to their self-esteem and thus they start losing their interest in the project.
Also, government being the ruling hand, as it is giving financial aid to such programs, sometimes cut down the budget or intervene in their expense related matters, this slow down the pace of the work and leads to mere wastage of time and money. Thus, government needs to restrict itself from intervening into these ventures as this will create only chaos in the work environment.
On the other hand, in absence of any government check, the national security of any country is at stake since the researchers or scientists can misuse the technology or scientific coding for their personal monetary benefits. In such a case, role of government becomes more crucial as it has to work as a "watch-dog" to keep an eye on every functioning inside the four walls of laboratories.
Also the funding for such programs is done by using the taxes- that are further a part of hard earned money of citizens. In a way, the government has to be answerable for spending every penny to native of its state. The government needs to appoint certain educated and trained professionals as subordinates or team-mates in such ventures so as to assess the functioning of every movement.
I firmly believe that keeping a minimal check is of utmost importance, since when the question is regarding national security government can't ignore its role. Essential surveillance teams must be formulated that doesn't intervene in the functioning of research programs but monitor all the actions in a positive manner.

“Both parents and communities must be involved in the local schools. Education is too important to leave solely to a group of professional educators”.

Education is an important piece of one’s life in shaping the future of a child. Education dispels the darkness of ignorance and edifies one’s mind. It is considered to be the most important weapon to change one’s life and further it could lead us to a better future and a better place in the society. Parents and communities both are important in children life as parents can mold the present of their children according to the interests that their children have. In addition, parents also teach all the moral values to their children which is not a part of their curriculum. A child is utterly unsophisticated and it is the responsibility of the parent to teach them all the prerequisite things, which are important. Communities play similar roles as it produces a feeling of brother-hood among children. Moreover, it teaches the children how to respond and how to behave in the society. Society leaves a strong influence in the life of the children as children implement all the erudite moral values that are taught by their parents. Communities provide an environment where children are brought up and it also creates a positive impact on the children life as it provides them the opportunity to live among the other people. Therefore, both are equally important.

Education is very important source for a better living so the best ways or methods should be implemented to make this thing fascinating. One-way could be if both parents and communities are involved in the local schools. Both parents and communities know about their children more then the professional teachers. As now a day schools somewhat has become a business rather then just a learning temple. For example, thousands of students are enrolled in the school, which makes it difficult even for the teacher to give a proper attention to each and every student. If parents and communities could be involved, then a proper attention would be provided and they would be able to know what is the weakness of their children. Furthermore, there would be better interaction with the children and due to this children would be more comfortable and can share their problems easily. Thus, results in a better correlation between them.

Moreover, this involvement leads to create a different environment among the children, as children would be more inquisitive and willingly ready to learn the new things. This could also decrease the pressure on the professional teachers as well. Further more the future of children is very important and through this we can comprehend the dreams of the children and the encouragement from these communities and parents will surely boost up the confidence of the children. Thus, keeps them ambitious all the time.

On the other hand, not always the involvement of the communities and parents will help the children in the education. As we all know that professional Educators are much more professional and proficient in their profession i.e. teaching. They have years of experience and knowledge and we all know experience matters a lot. With this experience they can easily able to apprehend the children. They know how to teach the things to their students. They have really operational methods in teaching that makes the education more attention grabbing. Moreover, most parents have very tedious routine and do not have adequate time for their children and this could leads to a poor balance between the growth and learning of the children. To fortify, the pattern of the education also changes with the time and there is a gigantic difference between the pattern and syllabus of the past and present studies. Parents could not be aware of this. Therefore, this could effect the overall development of the children.

Moreover, the children in the present century do not want that their parents and communities to involve in every matter. Children need their own privacy in their life. Interference by them could make them feel uncomfortable. It may intrude their relationship. Thus, parents should not be excessively involved in the small matters of their children life.

In the nutshell, every coin has two sides. Pros and cons are related with every aspect. The children should be taught in the way in which they are comfortable because at the end what matter the most is are they able to implement the things that they have learnt or are they able to understand the things or not.

Education is very important for every person to prosper in life. The parents and communities play important role in student or child life. The parents always guide us towards a right way. They teach their children in a better way. The children follow our parents advice become a good professor or person in our life. No doubt the professors with great skills teach the students and give them vast knowledge regarding any subject. But if we compare both of them , the parents prefer significantly for flourish the future of student.
As well as the importance of parents in children life , the communities also become part of students life for prosper them. The communities teach the children about their environment in which they lives. They teach them about how to behave with others .And they also gives knowledge about how to live in social environment. For example Michael Faraday who is the scientist.By knowing his education is burden on his parents,he decided to teach himself without the help of professors .At the age of fourteenth he become apprenticed by local bookbinder,he read the almost all books which was placed in local person's shop. In this way he became the scientist with the help of communities. He achievements in discovery are benzene discovery, oxidation number etc.
The second view is that in favoring of involvement of parents in children education is that parents are understand the feeling of children in more easily way .Therefore they teach the students more efficiently. For example the teacher taught the students which are large in number. He does not give proper attention on students,so he is unable to teach their students with proper focusing. But this is not happened in case of parents .Because they give the whole time on our children and teach them with great attention.
The third view is that parents and local persons are more close to their children. So they know more about them ,like they know which method they like to teach,in which field they are interested. For example if they are more habitual of internet and like to use computer then they teach them by giving presentations and animated presentations. If they do so then students automatically show interest in teaching and get knowledge
In conclusion we may say that only information is source of education, experience is the source of education .Experience can be observed from society and home.So we can say that parents play role in giving education .The professors gives only information which not complete the definition of education.
