Top Law Entrance Exams in India Other Than CLAT

There are various Entrance Exams in India. They are:

Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is one of the most prestigious exams for Law-aspiring students by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). The students get a chance to appear in the exam once a year. The exam mode is online and is conducted to shortlist law aspirants for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate level courses offered in more than 85 colleges including VIT Vellore & NMIMS School of Law. This year LSAT India 2021 will be held online. It will take place in the form of a remote proctored test that candidates can take from the comfort of their house. The exam would begin from May 10, 2021, onwards.

All India Bar Exam (AIBE) is a national-level examination conducted by the Bar Council of India twice a year to assess the aptitude to practice law. It is an open book offline mode test and evaluates candidates' analytical abilities along with a basic understanding of law subjects. The tentative date of the exam is January 24, 2021.

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted by National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) for admission in law programmes at NLU Delhi. The university does not accept any other law entrance exam for admissions. It takes place once a year in offline mode. This year the exam will be conducted on June 20, 2021, and is accepted by 12 colleges including prominent IIM & IIT colleges. (If important, then we can add names IIM-Ahmedabad, Bangalore & IIT-Bombay, Madras.)

Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to seven Symbiosis institutes. The SET exam is a gateway for admissions to multiple undergraduate courses, and it is likely to be conducted in the first week of May 2021. The exam takes place once a year and in online mode.

Delhi University Law Entrance Test (DU-LLB) is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to three-year LLB courses offered by Delhi University. This national level exam is conducted at more than 18 test cities once a year using the offline mode. Tentative dates are in the first week of June 2021. It is accepted by all six law colleges of DU.

Panjab University Law Entrance Exam (PU-LLB) is conducted by the University for admission to three-year LLB courses offered at its Department of Law and constituent colleges. The exam is held in a pen-paper-mode test in three languages i.e. English, Hindi, and Punjabi once a year.

These exams are known for the repute that is associated with them and a good score can land an aspirant lawyer in a good law school.
