Let the CP 1 article = Rs x, then CP of 12 articles = Rs 12x, and CP of 5 articles = Rs 5x, Now the SP of 5 articles = Rs 12x, then the profit = 12x - 5x = 7x, therefore profit% = (p/cp)*100 = (7x/5x)*100 = 140%
