ENDANGERED SPECIES An endangered species is any animal or plant species that is in danger of extinction or appearance. We can say the species which fight for their life to servive whose habitat has been drastically reduced such that the species is deemed in danger. There are currently 3079 animals and 2655 plant classified as endangered worldwide. Many nation have laws offering protection to conservation reliant species : ex forbidding hunting, restricting land development or creating preserves. There are 47 critical endangered species i n India (as of 5 sept 2011) By Red Datta book of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Some of them as below : Asiatic Cheetah, Chinese alligator, Island fox, Southern bluefin tuna, Sumatran Orangutan, Sumatran rhinoceros and many more.
