65th National Exhibition of Art held in New Delhi

Mandar from Jharkhand gains Geographical Indication tag

Ramdhari Singh Dinkar remembered on his birth anniversary

Poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar is remembered on his birth anniversary, observed on 23 September. He is widely known as Rashtrakavi, the National Poet. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Dinkar on 23 September. Born in 1908, Dinkar received the Padma Bhushan and the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1959 for his contributions to Hindi literature. His poetry and essays are studied in schools and universities. Dinkar’s work is noted for nationalistic and humanist themes, and his legacy remains influential in Hindi literary circles and Indian cultural memory.

17th Kathakali Festival Held in Chennai

Book on RSS service released by Vice President

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan released the book A Century of Service – The RSS in 100 Acts of Seva at Uprashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, on 15 September 2026. The work is authored by Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, former Governor of Telangana and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. The Vice President's Secretariat describes the volume as a documentary record of 100 examples of service linked to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) during its hundred-year history. The book captures civic, social and charitable activities associated with the organization, offering readers a guided look at volunteer work in public life. The event highlighted ongoing interest in RSS-linked community service.
