Tommy Koh, Runa Khan and Bo Kyi receive 68th Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2026
Singaporean diplomat and academic Tommy Koh, Bangladeshi social entrepreneur Runa Khan, and Myanmar human rights activist Bo Kyi were named recipients of the 68th Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2026. The ceremony, held in August 2026, coincided with the 119th birth anniversary of Ramon Magsaysay, the Philippines’ former president after whom the award is named. The Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation described the laureates as exemplars of leadership, integrity and humanitarian service. Koh’s long public service, Khan’s relief work, and Bo Kyi’s human rights advocacy were cited as outstanding contributions to societal betterment in Asia.
