Ravi Shastri stand named at Wankhede after former India captain; gates also memorialised

Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium will honour Ravi Shastri by naming a Level 1 Stand after him. The Mumbai Cricket Association approved the decision during its Apex Council meeting held on 27 February 2026. In addition, three gates will be named after Dilip Sardesai, Eknath Solkar and Diana Edulji to recognise their contributions to Mumbai and Indian cricket.
