BBATRC Inaugurated in Navi Mumbai to Strengthen Legal Education
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and former Chief Justice of India Justice Bhushan R. Gavai inaugurated India’s first Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Advocate Training and Research Centre (BBATRC) at Taloja, Navi Mumbai. Established by the Maharashtra and Goa Bar Council, the centre aims to strengthen legal education and bridge gaps between theoretical study and courtroom practice. Inauguration remarks highlighted the academy’s potential to improve access to justice, professional training and ethical standards for lawyers, aligning with broader reforms in the legal sector and capacity-building for the judiciary.
Location: Navi Mumbai, at BBATRC (Taloja).
