China made a revolutionary breakthrough in renewable energy engineering after it launched the world's first solar-thermal power plant that utilises a dual-tower system to generate electricity in the Gobi Desert.
Developed by the Three Gorges Corporation, a wind and solar energy company headquartered in Guazhou County, China, the new facility combines efficiency, innovation and large-scale clean power production in one of the planet's harshest environments.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ninth edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, marking the start of Asia's largest technology and telecom event.
The four-day event, organised jointly by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), run from October 8 to 11 under the theme "Innovate to Transform". It aims to highlight India's growing leadership in digital transformation and next-generation connectivity.
Key focus areas at IMC 2025 include emerging technologies such as 6G, quantum communications, semiconductors in telecom, optical networks, and cyber fraud prevention.

Indian Scientists Develop Simpler Method for Quantum-based Digital Security
Researchers in India developed a new way to generate truly random numbers using quantum computers, a breakthrough that could make digital security systems harder to crack.
The work was done by scientists at the Raman Research Institute (RRI) in Bengaluru, working with colleagues from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and the University of Calgary.
Random numbers are vital for digital security. They protect bank accounts, encrypt messages, and secure online transactions. But regular computers cannot make truly random numbers.

Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya in October 2025, launched the MY Bharat Mobile Application, a new milestone in the government's effort to strengthen youth engagement and leadership through technology.
Developed by the Digital India Corporation (DIC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the app is part of the MY Bharat platform, an online youth leadership and social engagement initiative of the Department of Youth Affairs (DoYA).
