Pune ZP School Wins International Award

A Pune Zilla Parishad school won the Community Choice award in the World's Best School prizes by T4 Education, a global educational organisation.
Jalindarnagar primary school won the award for the school's innovation, social impact, and student development, stated a press release issued by the Pune Zilla Parishad.
This ZP school in Khed taluka of Pune district transformed through community participation and is the only Indian govt-run Marathi medium institution selected for the awards. The school is particularly known for its peer learning system, where older and younger students teach each other, making learning more fun and interactive.

India Wins ISSA Award 2025 for Outstanding Achievement in Social Security

India recognised globally for its strides in social protection, becoming the fifth country to win the prestigious International Social Security Association (ISSA) Award 2025 for Outstanding Achievement in Social Security.
The honour was conferred at the World Social Security Forum (WSSF) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya received the award on behalf of the government.

Maari Wins G. Prabhakaran Memorial Award

Maari, Silent Valley's prominent watcher-conservationist from the Muduga community, won this year's Environment Excellence Award 2025 given in memory of G. Prabhakaran, former correspondent of The Hindu.
He received the award given under the banner of the Organisation for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement (Oisca) Palakkad chapter at a function to be held at Hotel Gazala.

DRDO Wins BusinessLine Changemaker of the Year

In September 2025, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was honored with the Changemaker of the Year Award at the BusinessLine Changemaker Awards for its contributions to indigenous strategic technologies. Alongside, the Azim Premji Foundation received the Iconic Changemaker Award in recognition of its extensive work in education and healthcare. These awards spotlight the dual pillars of India's development: cutting-edge technology leadership and sustained social impact.
The award was conferred on Raja Babu Ummalaneni, Director General of DRDO's Missiles & Strategic Systems, for his role in advancing India's indigenization of defense technology.
Under his leadership, DRDO was pushed forward domestically developed systems, emphasizing self-reliance in critical areas.
The recognition emphasises that strategic research and development in defense is considered a key driver of national transformation.
