The Madrasa Board will be abolished and a uniform law will govern all minority educational institutions as Uttarakhand Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmeet Singh (Retd.) gave his assent to the Uttarakhand Minority Education Bill, 2025.
Under the Bill, educational institutions belonging to other minority communities, such as Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Christian and Parsi, will also receive minority educational institution status in the state, along with those belonging to the Muslim community.
With the implementation of this Bill, the Madrasa Education Board Act, 2016, and the Non-Government Arabic and Persian Madrasa Recognition Rules, 2019, will expire on July 1, 2026.

Andhra CM Naidu Launches Scheme for Auto Rickshaw, Cab Drivers
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched the 'Auto Driver Sevalo' scheme in Vijayawada, announcing annual financial assistance of Rs. 15,000 for every registered auto driver in the state. The initiative aims to provide direct support to the transport community, which plays a key role in local mobility and small-scale livelihoods.
The launch ceremony was held at the Makineni Basavapunnaiah Stadium in Singhnagar, Vijayawada, where Naidu was joined by Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan, BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari and Education Minister Nara Lokesh.

Amit Shah Launches Goa's 'Mhaje Ghar Yojana'
Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Goa government's flagship welfare programme 'Mhaje Ghar' Yojana at a function held at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Taleigao.
The scheme aims to regularise houses built on government and community lands and to grant ownership rights to long-time residents. He also inaugurated projects worth more than Rs. 2,452 crore.
Amit Shah inaugurated the 'Mhaje Ghar' Yojana in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union Minister of State Shripad Naik, and Revenue Minister Atanasio Monserrate, among other dignitaries.
The Union Home Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several major infrastructure projects across the state. These include redevelopment of Junta House, government quarters at St Inez, construction of a new circuit house at Altinho, and development of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum at Farmagudi.

NITI Aayog Launches Tax Policy Working Paper to Boost Foreign Investment
NITI Aayog launched the first paper under its Tax Policy Working Paper Series, in October 2025. The paper focuses on improving tax certainty, attracting more foreign investment and bringing more transparency in permanent establishment and profit attribution for foreign investors in India. Addressing the Media, NITI Aayog, CEO BVR Subrahmanyam said that the objective of the paper is to introduce an Optional Presumptive Taxation Scheme that offers a simpler and more predictable way for foreign companies to pay taxes.

Government Hikes Minimum Support Prices for Rabi Crops
The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved a significant Minimum Support Price (MSP) hike for all mandated Rabi crops for the 2026 27 marketing season. This decision aims to ensure better returns for farmers and promote crop diversification. Alongside this, a major initiative—the Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses—was also launched to reduce import dependency and increase domestic production.
