Former President Ram Nath Kovind Inaugurates Tribal Art Exhibition at India Habitat Centre

  • Former President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated a tribal art exhibition titled 'Silent Conversation- From Margins to the Centre' at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Former President took a tour of the exhibition and interacted with artists. Over 250 paintings and crafts of more than 50 tribal artists from 17 states were showcased The exhibition in its fourth edition, aims to spread awareness about the conservation ethos of tribal communities and other forest-dwellers residing in and around forests, particularly India's tiger reserves. 
  • The event was organised by an NGO with support from the National Tiger Conservation Authority, a body under the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change and the International Big Cat Alliance.

12,000�'Year�'Old Pillar Carved with Human Face Unearthed in Türkiye

  • In a groundbreaking discovery, archaeologists in south-eastern Türkiye unearthed a 12,000-year-old T-shaped pillar featuring a carved human face at the Karahantepe archaeological site. This is the first time such a depiction has been found directly on a pillar, adding a critical piece to our understanding of Neolithic symbolism and self-representation. The find announced is part of ongoing excavations under the Stone Hills (Taş Tepeler) Project, which investigates the emergence of settled life and spiritual practices in early human societies.

  • The third edition of the Unmesha International Literature Festival was held in Patna, Bihar, in September 2025, bringing together an extraordinary confluence of writers, poets, translators, publishers, and scholars. With participation from 15 countries and over 100 languages, the festival highlighted the unifying power of literature in shaping societies and fostering dialogue across cultures.
  • The festival concluded with the Vice-President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, gracing the valedictory session as the Chief Guest, marking his first official visit to Bihar since assuming office.

Telangana's Bathukamma Festival Creates Two Guinness World Records

  • In Telangana, the celebrations of Bathukamma Festival, organised by the state Government, set two new Guinness World Records in September 2025. The event held at the Saroornagar Stadium in Hyderabad. The two world records for its largest Bathukamma floral decoration consist of about seven tonnes of flowers and of 63.11 feet high, 11 feet wide. The second record for the highly synchronised performance by a large number of women, of 1354.
  • The representatives of the Guinness World Records declared the performance as a world record and presented certificates to State Tourism Minister Krishna Rao and Women Development Minister Anasuya Sitakka.
  • The Bathukamma was built by around 300 workers with metal, bamboo, and flowers, and the structure took 72 hours to complete.
