ICC Unveils Dates, Venues for Women T20 World Cup 2026
The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the venues and dates for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, which is scheduled to be held in England.
Hosts England will kick off the extravagant cricket tournament on June 12, which will be held at Edgbaston in Birmingham. The famed Oval in London will host both the semi-finals on June 30 and July 2, respectively, while the final will be held at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground on July 5.
The marquee tournament will last 24 days, and 33 matches will be played at seven different venues in England, including Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester, Headingley in Leeds, Edgbaston in Birmingham, The Hampshire Bowl in Southampton, Bristol County Ground in Bristol, and The Oval and Lord's in London.
The 10th edition of the Women's T20 World Cup is the biggest ever, with 12 teams competing for the prestigious trophy. Eight teams have already qualified for the tournament, including hosts England, Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, the West Indies, and the defending champions, New Zealand.

Shreyas Iyer is leading Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, and he entered his name in the history books by becoming the first captain in the world to lead three different teams to the IPL final.
Iyer played a super knock for the Mohali-based franchise in the second qualifier of IPL 2025 against Mumbai Indians at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He remained unbeaten on 87 runs from 41 balls.
Iyer made his captaincy debut in the IPL for Delhi Capitals during the 2018 edition and led them to the IPL final in the 2020 edition, where they finished as runner-up. He captained Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2022 and 2024 and won his maiden IPL title as captain with the Kolkata-based franchise last year (2024).
By leading PBKS to the IPL 2025 final, Iyer also became the fourth captain in the world after MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya to play back-to-back IPL finals and the first captain to play back-to-back finals with two different teams.
