DRDO Transfers Seven Indigenous Technologies to Armed Forces
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) handed over seven indigenous technologies to the Indian Armed Forces in December 2025. The transfer supports the Technology Development Fund (TDF) scheme, which promotes domestic defence innovations by helping Indian industry, including MSMEs and start-ups. The event also approved 12 new projects spanning strategic, aerospace, naval, and electronic warfare (EW) domains, reflecting India’s emphasis on self-reliance in defence. The TDF scheme aims to reduce reliance on imports and accelerate the fielding of frontline capabilities. The ceremony highlighted ongoing collaborations between DRDO and industry to bolster national security and strategic autonomy.

Indian Army Hosts Inno-Yoddha 2025 to Promote Soldier-Led Innovation
The Indian Army conducted its annual Idea and Innovation Competition and Seminar, Inno-Yoddha 2025 in New Delhi. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Pushpendra Pal Singh, Vice Chief of the Army Staff, who felicitated the selected innovators. The Ministry of Defence informed that this year's edition recorded 89 submissions, the highest so far, reflecting the growing culture of innovation within the forces. After an evaluation, 32 innovations were chosen for further development. These soldier-driven solutions aim to strengthen operational readiness, logistics efficiency and training standards across the Army. It added that over the past five years, the Army's innovation ecosystem has delivered notable results.

India-Malaysia Military Exercise 'Harimau Shakti' Begins in Rajasthan
A military exercise between the troops of India and Malaysia, aiming to synergise joint responses during counter-terrorist operations, began in Rajasthan.
The fifth edition of the joint military exercise 'Harimau Shakti' is being held at Mahajan Field Firing Range from December 5-18.
The Indian contingent is being represented mainly by troops from the Dogra Regiment. The Malaysian side is being represented by troops from the 25th Battalion Royal Malaysian Army, the defence ministry said in a statement.
"The aim of the exercise is to jointly rehearse conduct of sub-conventional operations under Chapter VII of United Nations mandate. The scope of the exercise includes synergising joint responses during counter-terrorist operations. Both sides will practise tactical actions such as cordon, search and destroy missions, heliborne operations, etc," it said.
In addition, Army Martial Arts Routine , combat reflex shooting and yoga will also form part of the exercise curriculum, the officials said.

DRDO Tests High-Speed Indigenous Fighter Jet Escape System
Chandigarh, 2 December 2025: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) conducted a high-speed rocket-sled test of an aircraft escape system at the Rail Track Rocket Sled facility of the Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory. The trial validated canopy cutting, correct ejection sequencing, and safe recovery of a test dummy. The exercise was a joint effort of the Aeronautical Development Agency, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, and DRDO. Officials say the results support pilot safety during emergencies and mark progress in indigenous aerospace technology under national defence priorities.
