PM Modi Chairs 49th Pragati Meeting
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 49th meeting of PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) at South Block on Wednesday, reviewing eight key infrastructure projects spanning 15 States and Union Territories with a cumulative investment exceeding Rs. 65,000 crore.
The reviewed projects cover critical sectors such as Mines, Railways, Water Resources, Industrial Corridors, and Power, and are seen as crucial for driving economic growth and improving public welfare. The Prime Minister directed officials to ensure strict adherence to timelines, strengthen inter-agency coordination, and promptly resolve implementation bottlenecks.
Cabinet Approves CSIR Scheme to Strengthen Science and Research with Rs. 2,277 crore Outlay
The Union Cabinet in September 2025, approved the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) / Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) scheme on Capacity Building and Human Resource Development with a total outlay of Rs. 2,277.40 crore for the 15th Finance Commission cycle (2021-22 to 2025-26).
Implemented by CSIR, the scheme will cover all R&D institutions, national laboratories, Institutes of National Importance, Institutes of Eminence, and universities across India. It aims to provide young researchers with opportunities to pursue careers in universities, industry, national R&D laboratories, and academic institutions under the guidance of eminent scientists and professors across Science, Technology & Engineering, Medical, and Mathematical Sciences (STEMM).

World Food India 2025 Scheduled in New Delhi from September 25-28
World Food India 2025 is being organised from September 25 to 28, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The 4th edition of World Food India aims to promote investments in the diverse food processing sector, as well as introduce India's rich food culture to the World. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event.
Briefing the media in New Delhi, Minister of Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan, said that World Food India is not merely a trade show, but a transformative platform to position India as a global hub for food innovation, investment, and sustainability.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this event demonstrates a commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready food systems and strengthens India's position as the Food Basket of the World.
Visakhapatnam Declaration 2025: Charting India's Digital Transformation
India's digital governance journey took a major leap forward with the adoption of the Visakhapatnam Declaration at the 28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) held in September 2025. Co-hosted by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), and the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the two-day conference culminated in a strategic roadmap that aligns with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The declaration, unveiled in Visakhapatnam, outlined an ambitious and inclusive path for India's digital transformation, emphasizing cutting-edge technologies, civil service reform, cybersecurity, and grassroots empowerment.
The theme "Viksit Bharat: Civil Service and Digital Transformation" guided the conference, reiterating the need for a data-driven, citizen-first governance model.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Startup Conclave 2025 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and the State Higher and Technical Education Minister Rushikesh Patel will be present at the opening ceremony.
The two-day event, which was organised by the state Education department, was featured more than 1,000 startups, 5,000 innovators, 100 industry mentors, 50-plus venture funds, and leading policymakers on a single platform.
The conclave was also showcased 170-plus startups from 20 states, including those selected by Startup India, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and innovations for defence excellence. The state government was also facilitated the signing of 50 MoUs between startups, investors, and financial institutions, alongside the distribution of funding cheques and Letters of Intent to selected ventures.

Department of Food and Public Distribution Signs MoU with FCI
Department of Food and Public Distribution, in September 2025, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Food Corporation of India in New Delhi.
According to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, the MoU aims to set performance parameters and goals to ensure greater efficiency and accountability in food grain management.
The agreement will emphasize on reducing storage losses, improving the utilization of warehousing capacity, enhancing logistics and supply chain performance, and strengthening quality control.

Deputy CM Inaugurates Training Camp; TNUHDB Housing Units
Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin inaugurated the 'Aadhi Kalaikkol' training camp that aims to benefit youths from the Adi Dravidar and Tribal communities in the State.
He said the camp would train the youths in folk art, theatre art, literature and visual art, among others.
In another event, Mr. Udhayanidhi inaugurated over 500 housing units in tenements constructed by the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board at a total cost of Rs. 77 crore.
