VIRAASAT Sari Festival 2024: Celebrating India's Handwoven Heritage

The Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, is set to host the third edition of the "Viraasat Sari Festival 2024" from 15^th to 28^th December, 2024 at Handloom Haat, Janpath, New Delhi. Building on the overwhelming success of its previous editions, which garnered an impressive footfall of 20,000 across all age groups, this year's event promises to be an extraordinary celebration of India's handloom heritage, focusing on the diverse traditions of sari weaving.
By uniting handloom weavers, designers, sari enthusiasts, and buyers, the festival seeks to highlight the cultural and economic importance of the handloom sector, while providing artisans with a platform to showcase and retail their creations.

The 22nd Divya Kala Mela - An Embodiment of the 'Vocal for Local' Movement

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) (DEPwD), under Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, through National Divyangjan Finance and Development Corporation (NDFDC), organised the 22nd Divya Kala Mela from December 12 to 22, 2024 at the iconic India Gate, New Delhi.

Arunachal CM Launches New Logo for Eaglenest Bird Festival

The 4th edition of the Eaglenest Bird Festival, a celebrated event in Arunachal Pradesh, is set to be held from January 17 to 19, 2025, at Khellong and Thongre village in West Kameng District. Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, unveiled the new logo for the festival, marking its prominence on the state's calendar of events. The festival celebrates the region's unique biodiversity, and it also plays an essential role in promoting sustainable eco-tourism and community-driven conservation efforts.
The festival will include the inauguration of the Eco Bio-Diversity Park, which will become home to a tree planted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama during his visit in 1959.
This marks a significant milestone in preserving the region's natural and spiritual heritage.
