Super 30 Founder Anand Kumar to be 'Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism' for 2024
Super 30 founder Anand Kumar is the 'Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism' for 2024. The agreement in this regard was signed by Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director, India and SAARC countries, Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) and Anand Kumar in New Delhi.
"Kumar, who has been quite popular in South Korea due to his pioneering Super 30 initiative, also saw the best-seller book on his life published in Korean language. The popular movie 'Super 30' was also made on the life of Kumar," said Myong Kil Yun.
The choice of Kumar as the Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism is significant to boost ties with Korea through cultural exchanges and opening avenues for students, said, Myong Kil Yun.

Former Indian Cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad Passes Away
Former Indian cricketer and coach Anshuman Gaekwad passed away at the age of 71. Gaekwad played for India for a period of 12 years, from 1975-1987, where the former opening batter represented the national side in 40 Tests and 15 ODIs. He also served as the men's team head coach in two stints (during which India ended as runners-up in 2000 Champions Trophy). In addition, he served as a national selector in the 1990s and the president of the Indian Cricketers' Association.
