NBEMS sets Guinness World Record for AI in Healthcare livestream

NBEMS, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, an autonomous body under the Union Health Ministry, has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records for delivering the highest number of viewers for a live YouTube lesson on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. The nationwide training programme targets registered medical practitioners to build familiarity with AI applications in diagnostics, clinical decision‑making, patient monitoring and health‑care management. The session demonstrates India’s push to integrate digital tools in medical education and practice. NBEMS emphasises accessible content for doctors nationwide and adherence to safety and privacy standards, highlighting a broader drive to scale digital health training in India.

Nidhi Chhibber takes charge as NITI Aayog CEO

Nidhi Chhibber has assumed additional charge as Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog after the term of BVR Subrahmanyam ended on 24 February 2026. An IAS officer of the 1994 batch from the Chhattisgarh cadre, she previously served as Director General of the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO) and as Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education. PM Modi Inaugurates India's First Namo Bharat RRTS on Delhi-Meerut Corridor

On 22 February 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India's first Namo Bharat Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) on the Delhi-Meerut corridor from Meerut. The project integrates rapid intercity travel with the Meerut Metro, with both services operating from the same platform on the same track for the first time in the country. Officials say the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor will improve intra-city and inter-city mobility and reduce travel time. PM Modi described the move as a new era of world-class infrastructure for Uttar Pradesh and India. Vivek L. Bhimanwar sworn in as Chairman, Maharashtra PSC

Vivek L. Bhimanwar, a senior IAS officer, was sworn in as Chairman of the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) on Wednesday, at Lok Bhavan in Mumbai. The oath of office was administered by Acharya Devvrat, with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde congratulating Bhimanwar.
