NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang Conferred 2026 IEEE Medal of Honour

In January 2026, Jensen Huang, Chief Executive Officer of NVIDIA, was conferred the 2026 IEEE Medal of Honour, the highest recognition awarded by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). This prestigious honour includes a USD 2 million cash prize, marking the second consecutive year IEEE has attached a monetary award to this distinction.
Huang received this award for his outstanding contributions to Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and accelerated computing.

Critics Choice Awards: Jimmy Kimmel Wins Best Talk Show

Television host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel won the award for Best Talk Show at the 31st annual Critics Choice Awards and used his acceptance speech to deliver a satirical message aimed at US President Donald Trump, according to Variety.
Accepting the honour, Kimmel thanked members of the entertainment industry who supported his show over the past year and emphasised the importance of free expression.
The 31st Critics' Choice Awards were presented in January 2026, at the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport in Santa Monica, California, honouring the finest achievements of filmmaking and television programming in 2025.

ESPN India Awards 2025: Full List of Winners

President Droupadi Murmu Confers PM Rashtriya Bal Puraskar

President Droupadi Murmu conferred the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas in New Delhi. This year, 20 children from 18 States and Union Territories were awarded for demonstrating outstanding achievements. Speaking on the occasion, the President said that the awards will encourage the recipients and also inspire children across the country.
Arnav Anupriya Maharshi from Maharashtra received the honour for his two innovations that help improve the recovery of paralysis patients.

Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar 2025 proceedings announced

President Droupadi Murmu conferred Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar 2025 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, recognizing excellence in science, technology and innovation. In the second edition, 24 awards were distributed across Vigyan Ratna, Vigyan Shri, Vigyan Yuva, and Vigyan Team categories. Padma Vibhushan recipient Prof. Jayant Vishnu Narlikar was honoured posthumously with the Vigyan Ratna. Other recipients included eight scientists in Vigyan Shri and fourteen in Vigyan Yuva, with Team Aroma Mission CSIR earning the Vigyan Team award. The Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar seeks to celebrate scientific achievement and inspire future generations.
