The 19th Divya Kala Mela Unveiled in Visakhapatnam
The 19th edition of the Divya Kala Mela was inaugurated in Visakhapatnam by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, S. Abdul Nazeer, alongside dignitaries like Virendra Kumar, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, and other MPs. The event provided concessional loans of Rs. 40 lakh to 10 Divyang beneficiaries under NDFDC schemes and distributed assistive devices with the support of CSR partners such as HPCL, GAIL India, and IOCL.
The Mela runs from September 19 to 29, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, at Marine Ground, Andhra University.

Rashtrapati Nilayam to Host Bhartiya Kala Mahotsav from September 29 to October 6
Rashtrapati Nilayam in collaboration with the Ministry of Development of North-East Region and the Ministry of Culture will host the first edition of Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav from September 29 to October 6, 2024.
The eight-day long celebration will showcase the rich and diverse cultural heritage of our North-Eastern states.
Visitors will get acquainted with the art, culture, crafts, and culinary diversity of the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
More than 300 artists and artisans from these states would be participating in the event.
Honourable President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Mahotsav on September 28, 2024.

UP and Tripura CM Inaugurate Sidheshwari Temple
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha jointly inaugurated the newly built Sidheshwari Temple at Barkathal in Tripura. Yogi Adityanath also laid the foundation stone for the Ved Vidyalaya at Chitta Dham, Barakathal, Mohanpur, West Tripura.
Angkor Wat Named Most Photogenic UNESCO World Heritage Site in Asia
Cambodia's Angkor Wat was recognised as the most photogenic UNESCO World Heritage site in Asia by Times Travel, as announced by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet. This accolade was revealed through a post on his official Telegram channel, featuring Times of India's list of Asia's top ten most photogenic UNESCO sites.
The list includes notable landmarks such as: India: Taj Mahal and Hampi, China: Great Wall, Myanmar: Ancient city of Bagan, Indonesia: Borobudur, Vietnam: Ha Long Bay, Japan: Historic Monuments of Kyoto, Jordan: Petra and Philippines: Rice Terraces of the Cordilleras
These sites are celebrated for their cultural and visual appeal, offering exceptional inspiration for photographers.
Located in the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap province, Angkor Wat is a prominent temple within a 401-square-kilometre park featuring 91 ancient temples built between the 9th and 13th centuries. It is Cambodia's most visited tourist destination, drawing 651,857 international visitors in the first eight months of 2024, reflecting a 30.7% increase from the previous year. Revenue from ticket sales for this period reached $30.3 million, marking a 31% year-on-year rise.

Special Rail Coach Dedicated to Gandhi Unveiled at Gandhi Darshan
A meticulously restored railway coach from the bygone era, symbolising Mahatma Gandhi's famous train journeys that were instrumental in his mission to unite the nation during the freedom struggle, was unveiled by Union Minister for Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
The coach, painted in a shade of brown, bears a 'III' marker depicting the third-class railway compartments he used to travel in, has been installed at Gandhi Darshan at the Raj Ghat, Delhi.
A life-size sculpture of the Mahatma showing him stepping down from the coach has been placed on its footsteps.
The railway coach at Gandhi Darshan is enriched with sculptures depicting Gandhi's travels and interactions with fellow travellers, providing visitors with an immersive experience that brings alive Mahatma Gandhi's rail journeys.
