Centre Clears Appointment of Justice P. B. Bajanthri as Chief Justice of Patna High Court
The President of India appointed Justice P. B. Bajanthri as Chief Justice of Patna High Court.
Justice Bajanthri was serving as a Judge of the Patna High Court prior to this elevation.
He enrolled as advocate in 1990 and practiced in Karnataka High Court, KAT, CAT and Educational Authorities.
During 1993-94, he appeared as a KPSC Standing Counsel. He was appointed as Notary by the Government of India in May 2006.

Justice M Sundar Appointed Chief Justice of Manipur High Court
The Central government, in September 2025, appointed Justice M. Sundar as the next Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court.
He assumed charge of the office in September 2025, following the retirement of the then Manipur High Court Chief Justice, Justice Kempaiah Somashekar.
Justice Sundar was the second senior-most judge of the Madras High Court.

Centre Clears Appointment of Justice Shree Chandrashekhar as Chief Justice of Bombay High Court
The Central government cleared the appointment of Justice Shree Chandrashekhar as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.
Justice Chandrashekhar began his legal practice in Delhi, handling both criminal and civil matters. Over his 19 years of advocacy, he appeared in approximately 3,500 cases, primarily before the Supreme Court of India, and was involved in around 140 reported Supreme Court judgments.
He served as Standing Counsel for the All India Council for Technical Education and the State of Jharkhand in the Supreme Court. He also represented bodies such as the Bihar State Housing Board, Bihar State Pollution Control Board, Jharkhand State Electricity Board and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research along with various corporations and private companies.

Bombay High Court Gets 14 New Judges
Fourteen new judges were sworn in as additional judges of Bombay High Court.
Acting Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar administered the oath of office.
Before these appointments, the High Court had a functioning strength of 68 judges against a sanctioned strength of 94.
With the new appointments, the strength has come up to 82.

President Appoints Permanent Judges in Kerala & Allahabad HC
Exercising powers under the Constitution of India, the President of India, in consultation with the Chief Justice of India (CJI), appointed new judges to the Allahabad and Kerala High Courts. These appointments include the elevation of Additional Judges to Permanent Judges, thereby strengthening the judicial system in two of the country's key High Courts.
Arun Kumar was appointed as Judge of the Allahabad High Court, Justice Johnson John was elevated from Additional Judge to Permanent Judge of Kerala High Court, Justice G. U. Girish was elevated as Permanent Judge of Kerala High Court and Justice C. N. Pratheep Kumar elevated as Permanent Judge High Court: Kerala.
