The subsidy comprises two components. The central government provides Rs 78,000 for each 3 kW solar panel installation. The Delhi government adds a further Rs 30,000, bringing the total subsidy to Rs 1,08,000. This initiative is part of the Free Electricity Scheme. The previous subsidy was between Rs 2,000 and Rs 10,000 per kW but is now standardised at Rs 10,000 per kW.

Centre Launches e-Zero FIR to Fast-Track Cybercrime Cases
In a significant push toward combating cybercrime, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has launched a new initiative called e-Zero FIR under its Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C). The move, announced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on May 20, 2025, aims to enable swift registration of FIRs in high-value cyber financial fraud cases. Currently launched as a pilot project in Delhi, the system will automatically convert complaints filed via the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) or helpline 1930 into Zero FIRs for cases involving losses above Rs. 10 lakh—significantly enhancing the response time in apprehending cybercriminals.

Centre Launches Special Apprenticeship Scheme for Northeast Youth
In a major boost to skill development in India's northeastern region, the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) launched a pilot apprenticeship scheme aimed at promoting hands-on industrial training among youth from the region.
The scheme was jointly launched in Aizawl by Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Shri Lalduhoma, Chief Minister of Mizoram.
The initiative offers an additional ₹1,500 monthly stipend over existing allowances, targeting 26,000 youth to improve access to employment-oriented training opportunities.

Maharashtra Launches Policy to Promote Artificial Sand Use

The state cabinet, in a meeting decided to make m-sand compulsory for all construction works undertaken by government and semi-government agencies. Uttar Pradesh Expands ODOP Scheme with 12 New Products
