Former CJI Opts Out of Dulat's Book Launch Function
Former Chief Justice of India T. S. Thakur skipped former R&AW chief A. S. Dulat's book release function, citing the political storm over certain parts of the book concerning National Conference president Farooq Abdullah.
The book, 'The Chief Minister and the Spy' was to be released by Justice Thakur (retd).
This came a day after Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said in Jammu that his father and veteran politician Farooq Abdullah would not be attending the book release function.

MoJS C. R. Patil Launches DDWS- UNICEF's 'Ripples of Change'
Union Minister of Jal Shakti, C. R. Patil, launched the book, "Ripples of Change: Gender-transformative rural WASH programmes in India" in New Delhi.
A joint publication of the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti, and UNICEF India, Ripples of Change captures ten powerful stories from rural India. Documented by UNICEF, the stories reflect the transformational impact of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) and Jal Jeevan Mission through the lens of gender empowerment, community leadership, and grassroots innovation.
During the event, the Minister also launched the upgraded Ministry of Jal Shakti (Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation) website portal. The upgraded website is among the first few government platforms to be successfully onboarded and revamped in full compliance with the latest Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) and Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) 3.0.

Book 'March of Glory' Released to Celebrate India's 1975 Hockey World Cup Victory
To commemorate the Golden Jubilee of India's maiden Hockey World Cup victory in 1975, a book titled 'March of Glory' was officially launched at Shivaji Stadium, New Delhi. The book, co-authored by hockey historian K. Arumugam and journalist Errol D'Cruz, captures the dramatic journey of the Indian team to World Cup glory in Kuala Lumpur on March 15, 1975.
The book includes key match details, player quotes, and over 250 rare photographs, offering deep insights into India's fight backs, a shocking loss to Argentina, and the tense semi-finals and final victories.
The event was attended by Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey, 1975 World Cup-winning players H. J. S. Chimni and Ashok Kumar, along with Olympians Harbinder Singh, Zafar Iqbal, Vineet Kumar, and 300 young hockey enthusiasts from One Thousand Hockey Legs (OTHL).
