SSC Launches Mobile-Based Application Process for Government Job Aspirants
In a big push towards making government job applications easier and more accessible, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) launched a fully upgraded version of its mySSC mobile app. The app, now live, allows candidates -- especially those from rural areas -- to fill and submit their applications for SSC exams entirely through their mobile phones.
Candidates can now complete the full application process on the app, including Aadhaar-based OTP and face authentication.
The app, developed in partnership with Cubastion Consulting, is part of a broader effort to make the entire SSC recruitment cycle—from registration to final selection—more secure, transparent, and user-friendly.

IIT Delhi Launches First BS Programme in Chemistry for JEE Advanced 2025 Qualifiers
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi introduced its first-ever Bachelor of Science (BS) programme in Chemistry, starting from the academic year 2025-26. The new four-year undergraduate programme will admit students through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2025 via the JoSAA counselling portal.
The programme aims to encourage early multi-disciplinarity in chemical science education without compromising the depth expected from a pure science degree.
The curriculum is designed to prepare students for diverse roles in core chemistry-based industries, research, academia, and entrepreneurship. With a strong focus on both theoretical and practical aspects, the programme aims to develop technology leaders and researchers capable of addressing real-world challenges.

Goa Achieves Full Functional Literacy
Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, officially declared the State of Goa to be officially fully literate under the ULLAS - Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram (New India Literacy Programme), marking a significant milestone in India's journey towards achieving full literacy by 2030, as envisioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
This makes Goa the second state of the country to cross the nationally prescribed 95% benchmark for full literacy. The announcement was made during the grand celebration of Goa's 39th Statehood Day (May 30, 2025) at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Panaji.
